Trying to Build a Habit

    Whenever we think of fitness or exercise, the first thing that comes to mind is going to the gym. It has become like an easy solution, yes it is. You got materials and trainers to assist you, right? That's for hardcore fitness or bodybuilding i guess. To be honest, I am not that type of body building guy, never tried to run on the treadmill nor attempted to play with the dumbles. But yeah, I have been to gyms numerous times, with friends as time passed. I have a few friends who are deeply into this, since the school days. I would just go with them, sit in a corner, play music or just have chitchats as usual.

    But recently, I have been feeling like I am getting weak, my body needs to burn some fat and be more energetic. Lemme remind you, I don't have any fascination for making six-pack abs. All I want is to get fit and have some stamina within me. So primarily I am changing a few habits instead of straight jumping into gyms. Now I am focusing on physical workloads like walking. In the past, I would straight jump into a rickshaw even for the distance of 10 minutes of walking whereas I don't walk throughout the whole day out of my home. Now I am walking, even for the distance that takes fifteen to twenty minutes. These come every couple of days as I don't go out much. The second thing is a few free-hand exercises that I have been doing at my home for the last one week on a daily basis.

    The biggest obstacle for me is consistency, I lose motivation after a few days and things fades away, this is how most of my goals gets scattered. This is also the reason for which I haven’t booked any slot in any gym as I am not sure if I would be able to continue or not after enrolling. You may argue that it would have been better as I will be paying so that may trigger to be regular, that's true but sadly it doesn’t work on me, tried on various things.

    So right now, all I am doing is changing a few basic things, making this a habit, and normalising this into my daily routine to move forward to the next step.

    How much do you focus on your body or fitness? As per my height, my weight is hitting the highest limits. See? My structure and weight has already rang the bell that I should pay more attention to fix them or it will be too late to wake up. Another important factor is a proper diet, an important factor. Unfortunately I haven’t focused on that yet but I have plans to do so but not anytime soon, lol. Lemme settle first with the habit and then will proceed to the next, one by one, slowly but gradually, that's what is perfect in my point of view.
