The frost-bitten air nipped at my nose, crisp and clear, as the sun finally stretched over the bare trees, spilling golden light onto the frozen pond in Volkspark Jungfernheide. It was the kind of winter morning that made every breath feel sharper, every step sound louder. Standing by the ice, I closed my eyes, let the sun warm my face, and sank into deep, steady breaths, breathe in, breathe out, cold but invigorating. Meditation here wasn’t just a practice; it was a moment stolen from time. Then, the walk, always refreshing, always more forest than park, the crunch of frozen leaves underfoot a quiet rhythm. The bicycle ride there and back had become my winter ritual, tires cutting through the chilled stillness, legs pushing against the season’s quiet resistance. Some routines dull with time, but this one? It‘s only getting better. As for the photos, I was undecided which one I liked better, so now you can enjoy both and feel the frost through them.
Der eisige Wind biss mir in die Wangen, trocken und still, während die Sonne endlich über die kahlen Bäume kletterte und ihr goldenes Licht auf den zugefrorenen Teich im Volkspark Jungfernheide goss. Es war einer dieser Wintermorgen, an denen jeder Atemzug klarer und jeder Schritt lauter erschien. Ich stand am Eis, schloss die Augen, ließ die Sonne mein Gesicht wärmen und atmete tief ein, und wieder aus, kalte Luft, die belebt, nicht lähmt. Meditation hier war kein bloßes Ritual, sondern ein gestohlener Moment der Ruhe. Dann der Spaziergang, immer erfrischend, immer mehr Wald als Park, das Knirschen gefrorener Blätter unter den Füßen eine leise Melodie. Die Fahrt mit dem Rad, hin und zurück, war längst zur Wintergewohnheit geworden, Reifen schnitten durch die frostige Stille, Muskeln arbeiteten gegen den sanften Widerstand der Kälte. Manche Routinen verlieren ihren Reiz, aber diese? Sie wird immer besser. Was die Fotos betrifft, so war ich unschlüssig, welches mir besser gefällt, und so können Sie nun beide genießen und den Frost durch sie spüren.
