Leaving this sarcasm aside, I don't know if it used to be this much, but I'm seeing a lot of fake comments on Hive these days. People are posting fake comments under my posts and under the posts of other authors I visit. I don't know what you guys think, but I think it's really disturbing. About 8-9 months ago I started a series called Hive 101 where I talked about the importance of Engagement. In that post I talked about how fake engagement is a bad thing and that no one is forcing you to comment, you should just do it when you feel like it. I also said that old Hive users can spot it very easily and that it's not welcome. After all, people want to read real comments on their posts, right? You can read the full post here. Engagement.
Comments will win you friends but fake ones will lose you friends and people will warn others about it. At least that's what I do, which will negatively affect your adventure in Hive. Of course, beginner Hive users can make mistakes like this, they may just want to comment and meet people, but in this case the people who brought them to Hive should warn them and tell them that it is not right. Let's show some examples, I will censor names here because I don't want to target anyone but you can see some of these users here and there. They are usually under posts where a lot of people comment, not under posts where nobody comments.
Okay, if you follow me, you can see that I play a game called Teamfight Tactics where I make tutorials or fun things and post them on Hive. It's good for me that people are interested in this game, I even organized a TFT tournament on Hive at one point. 8 people participated and the videos were shared by the players and I think it was fun for everyone. In the comments, the same author asked over and over and over again if this game is available on mobile and if it's free. I answered his question many times but he still kept asking. No one forces you to play a game, but if you are wondering if a game can be played on the phone and if you get an answer, take the phone in your hand 1 time and download the game and try it. If you don't want to, don't ask. Do you think that people are so forgetful and every time you ask, they say, oh how nice, he is curious about my game, let me answer him?
I was recently playing an indie game where there is no winning or losing and I saw a comment under my post that said “keep winning”. I asked because I didn't know what I should keep winning, let's see if I get an answer. Do you think that when anyone reads this comment, they think that you read this post?
Here are other comments from the user who made the “keep winning” comment I just mentioned. Wow man, every keystroke on your keyboard must be worth a lot. You can't seem to type more than 2 words.
Another Hive user. This one is even worse, he can only comment one word. Moreover, when I analyzed his posts, I saw a user who commented very sensibly and thoughtfully. I wonder why he doesn't think of making such comments. Doesn't he speak English? He can use the same translation program he uses to write his posts when commenting.
In fact, I can find tons of comments like this with just 1 hour of browsing. So what can we do against them? Or are we the ones who are normal and thinking wrong? Üstelik kendisinin gönderilerini incelediğimde gönderilere çok mantıklı ve ince yorum yapan bir kullanıcı gördüm. Kendi neden bu tarz yorumlar yapmayı hiç düşünmüyor merak ediyorum. İngilizce bilmiyor mu? Gönderilerini yazarken kullandığı çeviri programını yorum yaparken de kullanabilir.
