Hello Hivers friends,
as anticipated in the post a few days ago, I would like to go back to the origins... or almost.
As you can already see from the cover, I'm going back to talking about basketball and I'm doing it with a small editorial that will provide a periodic overview (I hope every 2/3 days) of what happened in and outside of the competitions, trying to also introduce some small curiosities

NBA

The prestigious NBA Finals are being played in the major stars and stripes championship which will decide the winning team of the Ring for this year.

The Boston Celtics of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown and the Dallas Mavericks of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving clash.

In the regular season, the Boston Celtics ranked first in the Eastern Conference, while the Dallas Mavericks ranked fifth in the Western Conference.

In this playoff series the Celtics met and defeated the Miami Heat leading in the series 4-1, the Cleveland Cavaliers, LeBron James' former team, also passing 4-1 in the series and the Indiana Pacers in the Conference final, closing the series 4-0

The Mavs instead defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 4-0 in the first round, prevailed 4-2 in the second round against the Oklahoma City Thunder and closed the final of Conference against the Minnesota Timberwolves 4-1

On the night between June 9th and 10th at 02:00 Italian time Boston and Dallas will meet again in Game 2 of the Finals after Game 1 was won quite clearly by the Celtics by 107 to 89.

Despite the defeat Luka Doncic went down in history as one of the few players who signed a double double with at least 30 points scored in a Finals debut.

WNBA

In the WNBA Connecticut leads the Eastern Conference standings with 9 games and as many victories, Liberty follows in second place with 9 wins and 2 defeats, Atlanta is in third place with 4 wins and 4 defeats, Chicago joins Atlanta but with one more defeat, Fever in fifth place with a record of 3-9, Mystics closes the table at 0-11.

In the Western Conference, however, Lynx and Storm are at the top of the standings with a record of 7-3, Las Vegas in third place boasts 5 wins and 3 losses, ** Mercury** same score but with 3 more defeats. Wings and Sparks close the rankings with 3-6 and 3-7 records respectively

LBA (IT)

The championship final is taking place in the major Italian championship between Virtus Segafredo Bologna and EA7 Milano.
In Game 1 of the Scudetto final Milan won 86-75 on the Bologna pitch thanks to a 29-point third quarter and the trio of Shabazz Napier (21), Devon Hall (18) and Shavon Shields (25) who together were the authors of 64 points.

This evening Game 2 will be played again in Bologna where Marco Belinelli and his teammates will have to try to win to equalize the series and play it out at least until Game 4.

Salve amici Hivers,
come anticipato nel post di qualche giorno fa, vorrei tornare alle origini...o quasi.
Come vedete già dalla copertina, torno a trattare di pallacanestro e lo faccio con un piccolo editoriale che farà una panoramica periodica (spero ogni 2/3 giorni) di ciò che è successo nelle gare e fuori, cercando di introdurre anche qualche piccola curiosità

NBA

Nel maggiore campionato a stelle e strisce si stanno disputando le prestigiose NBA Finals che decreteranno la squadra vincitrice dell'Anello per quest'anno.

Si scontrano i Boston Celtics di Jayson Tatum e Jaylen Brown e i Dallas Mavericks di Luka Doncic e Kyrie Irving.

Nella stagione regolare i Boston Celtics si sono classificati come primi nella Eastern Conference, mentre i Dallas Mavericks si sono classificati quinti nella Western Conference.

In questa serie di playoff i Celtics hanno incontrato e sconfitto i Miami Heat guidando nella serie 4-1, i Cleveland Cavaliers, ex squadra di LeBron James, passando sempre 4-1 nella serie e gli Indiana Pacers in finale di Conference chiudendo la serie 4-0

I Mavs invece hanno sconfitto i New Orleans Pelicans per 4-0 al primo turno, si sono imposti per 4-2 al secondo turno contro gli Oklahoma City Thunder e hanno chiuso la finale di Conference contro i Minnesota Timberwolves per 4-1

Nella notte tra il 9 e il 10 Giugno alle 02:00 ora italiana Boston e Dallas si incontreranno di nuovo in Gara 2 delle Finals dopo che Gara 1 è stata vinta abbastanza nettamente dai Celtics per 107 a 89.

Nonostante la sconfitta Luka Doncic è passato alla storia come uno dei pochi giocatori che in un debutto di Finals ha firmato una doppia doppia con almeno 30 punti segnati.

In Gara 1 della finale scudetto Milano si è imposta per 86-75 sul campo di Bologna grazie a un terzo quarto da 29 punti e al trio Shabazz Napier (21), Devon Hall (18) e Shavon Shields (25) che insieme sono stati autori di 64 punti.

Questa sera si giocherà Gara 2 sempre a Bologna dove Marco Belinelli e compagni dovranno cercare di vincere per pareggiare la serie e giocarsela almeno fino a Gara 4.
