In this post, I will discuss The formation I often use when the mana cap is 30-40. This formation requires Kulu Mastermind as its main card.
This is the first reward card in the form of Soulbound, where I get this card for free by opening the loot chest every day or at the end of the season. Because now the reward card event has ended and has been replaced by other cards, this card can only be obtained by buying or renting it. These are the stats and abilities of this card at the max level that I have:
Ability | Description |
---|---|
![]() | Weapons Training ability, adjacent unit gain this unit's attack if they have no attacks themselves (max 3), Example unit like Baakjira, Chaos agent, etc. |
![]() | Opportunity ability, unit with the Opportunity ability may attack from any position and will target the enemy unit with the lowest health. |
![]() | Shield ability, reduced damage from melee and ranged attacks |
![]() | Enrage ability, has increased melee attack and speed when damaged. Multiplier x1.5 rounded up. |
The guide is more intended for new players/beginners with limited funds/resources, because I am also not a player who uses strong cards that are expensive, so I will try to explain to the extent of the abilities/resources that I have.
Battle Formation
This is the usual formation I use in mana 30-40 when I want to attack with a unit who have Sneak* (attacking the enemy unit in the last position) and Opportunity ability. U can replace the Merdaali Guardian and Uraeus units with another unit if the mana is not enough.
The battle:
In this battle, we can see in the 2nd round when the enemy Pelacor Bandit attacks Kulu Mastermind, Kulu's speed and damage increase from speed and damage 4 to 6.
Meanwhile, the enemy unit Kulu who received our Deeplurker attack in the 4th round did not activate the Enrage ability because his level was not yet maxed. By focusing on attacking enemy units in the back, we can win this battle by killing many enemies in the back before our tanker Baakjira finally dies in the 5th round because he can no longer heal after being hit by Affliction ability from Doctor Blight.
Conclusion and More Formation
Using this formation with Kulu Mastermind, we have a strong tanker both in front (Baakjira) and behind (Kulu Mastermind), the weakness of this unit is when exposed to Poison effects, but because of its large health and ability to receive melee attacks, it will usually survive more than 1 round, providing protection and opportunities for other attacking units to kill enemy units without any disturbance.
the weakness of this unit is if the opposing player uses a unit/summoner that gives a poison effect, such as the Uraeus unit, or the Waka Spiritblade summoner who can give the Poison ability to all units we used. This unit is weak against magic, but if put behind not many magic units can attack this unit.
The greatest strength of this unit besides the Shield ability is its Enrage ability, when this unit's health decreases, its damage and speed will increase, making this unit more difficult to hit and easy to kill enemies.
There is an ability of this unit that we did not discuss in this formation, namely Weapons Training.
This unit Weapons Training will be useful in the ruleset below:
Ability | Description |
---|---|
![]() | Super Sneak ruleset, All melee attack unit have the Sneak ability.. |
![]() | Opportunity ability, unit with the Opportunity ability may attack from any position and will target the enemy unit with the lowest health. |
For Super Sneak we can put Kulu Mastermind in the second to last position and Baakjira in the last position, so Baakjira who has very large health and also has Heal ability will be able to attack enemies and harder to kill. The battle example :
For Melee Mayhem the same strategy is to put Kulu Mastermind in the 2nd position and Baakjira in the first position, Baakjira will be harder to kill if you bring Merdaali Guardian who can Tank heal to heal Baakjira like this Battle Formation :
Although Kulu Mastermind is a strong unit we need other unit help to support it. When the Kulu Mastermind puts it behind then we only need to give more tankers in the front/close to the first position. like the battle in the Battle Formation section we put Merdaali Guardian in the 2nd position.
