I went searching for bugs this #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay
Look at this old vintage VW bug. I've seen this thing around town spewing out stinky fumes. Hopefully someone will tune the engine up a bit. Theold rusty finish is quite steampunk.
Now to search for real bugs. I wanted to find a rare blue eyed cicada. Instead I got covered by red eyed ones.
They were all having a huge orgy in a tree in the prairie.
Here is their crazy noise.
This is what the one in a million blue eyed cicadas look like. Sadly I found no blue eyed ones and I've read scientists will buy them for 1,000 usd. But first you have to search through 10 million normal cicadas lol.
In the meantime I'll just keep an eye out for one as I go on my walks. There are definitely plenty to inspect for blue eyes lol.
This year has been good for the dragonflies as well. Maybe they can eat cicadas as well?
Frog is quite plump off eating plenty of cicadas too.
It also has quite a few babies in the pond. Next year I may try to catch a few of these guys to show my daughter the metamorphosis from polywog to frog.
In the meantime I've taught her how to take time to smell the flowers. I have to make sure to inspect the flowers first making sure there are no bees or cicadas on them lol.
