Greetings, dear sewing community, hoping you're all doing very well! Wednesday, I want to share with you the making and sewing of a pair of long, wide-leg jeans in denim. These aren't the hardest denim, but rather a bit softer because they have stretch.
But they're still ideal for this type of pants, allowing them to feel very comfortable, as they're very flexible.
For these youth size "S" pants, 1 1/2 meters of fabric were used to make the pockets on each side.
So, using another pattern, I was able to cut these pants with their details to the person's measurements.

Pero igual es ideal para este tipo de pantalón lo que le permite poder sentirse muy cómoda, ya que es muy flexible.
Para este pantalón talla “S” juvenil se utilizo 1 1/2metro de tela, para poder hacer los bolsillos a cada lado.
Así que con otro modelo o patrón pude cortar a la medida de la persona este pantalón con sus detalles.

Primero coloco la tela en la mesa y doblo para poder cortar dos partes de cada lado, es decir las dos partes del frente y trasero del pantalon. Tomando en cuenta que en la parte superior de atras lleva un dobles o tambien se puede sacar por separado una tira que va cerca de la cintura, me refiere a ese corte que trae los pantalones atras, para darle mejor forma al cuerpo.
Cuando corto el pantalón lo corto recto desde la parte de a cadera hasta abajo, así sus botas quedarán anchas.
Tambien le saco o corto los bolsillos que van en esta parte trasera, lo cuales los corto a su medida normal, haciendo su borde para luego coserlos al pantalon.
For the front, I cut out the two sections; it also has front pockets.
Since I've sewn both the front and back pockets, I then join the pants together and sew only the sides, which will allow me to sew the side pockets before fully closing the pants.
Para la parte del frente saco sus dos partes, tambien lleva bolsillos al frente.
Al tener cosido los bolsillos tanto del frente y traseros, entonces uno el pantalón y coso solamente de los costados o lados, lo que me permitirá coser los bolsillos de los lados, antes de cerrar por completo el pantalón.
Once these side pockets are sewn, I attach the closure and finish closing the pants, then attach the waistband.

I also make small strips that go around the waistband, so you can add a strap to your liking. And of course, the hem.

This is how the pants turned out with their side pockets, very comfortable to wear, my friend fit them very well, she loved their style.
