Like they always say, life is filled with so much lessons to learn and unlearn. There are sometimes that one looks back and just wish we can go back to the past to correct it. But like they always say, we can not go back to the past to correct the past, but we can make wise use of our present for a bright future. As a Nigerian guy I am that grew up loving any thing related to science, I must say one of the things life taught me to be at the early stage of my life is to be resilient.
One important lessons I have learnt is that whenever one have power, if it is not controlled, it will leads to issues and more troubles. There are situations I have found myself where I was given authority but I misused it. Take for example the aspect when I was made the class rep, I misused the authority until it affected my academics. There were some things that I should not have done as class rep but I did simply because I thought I had the power.
And there are several ways I learnt that it is not enough to have power, you should also have wisdom that backed those power up. So many times, we always think when we have the power, that is enough, it does not work that way. We need to make sure that we have the right understanding to make use of those actions.
Not only that, one of the things I also learnt is the fact that every actions you take will definitely have a positive or negative effects on you whether you like it or not and that is why you must take wise decisions and actions. Everyone of us just blindly take some actions but we did not always consider the effects of it at the end of the day. There are some consequences of actions that we can redeem and there are some which we will not be able to redeem at the end of the day.
Then the last lesson I have learnt about life is to understand that there is power in unity. There was this particular project we should have done in my family many years ago. I thought I can do it alone, well it proves to be abortive for me. Not until we come together and I was actually able to understand that what we achieved as one, I didn't achieve that trying to do it alone. There is so much power in unity and I have seen it.
