Hail to the Hive!

It would seem I have allowed myself to slip again and have been away from the blockchain for a little too long again me thinks. A recent trip to India and a hectic schedule has derailed my efforts to keep a steady presence on here but thankfully I saw this where we were moored up 2 nights ago and it has forced my hand. How could I not capture and shere this beautiful creation and it so begged for a little Monomad affection.

I spoke to the owner who as it happens also has a pretty cool narrowboat called ‘ The Black Pearl’ and it also didn’t disappoint. He said a friend of his was in the US in Oklahoma and found it in the middle of nowhere. He bought it and shipped it over to the UK and he got it back on the road again. It’s a stunning piece of artwork if you ask me and I asked if he minded me being a bit intrusive with the pics and he said it was cool, so snap away I did.

It’s the kind of van that really makes you want to do something yourself creatively as it really has ooodles of personality. Inchuckled to myself thinking it was a real cross of hippy wagon and Mad Max road warrior style. I fell in love with it immediately.

I was doubly glad as it also gave me a much needed kick up the arse to get back on the blockchain and do something. It’s a weird one when you let it slide a while it gets harder and harder to get back in the mindset and then once I am back I realize how cathartic I find this whole arena. A wonderful creative space that has allowed me to meet a bunch of interesting and creative people.

I will do my best to stay in the loop. I always feel bad for being away and then super glad to be back.
