Just few years back, communiting to work premises or offices was normal. Now we are in the new normal. I time where people have learned how easier it could be work remotely. The COVID-19 pandemic changed the way most people use to work. Many people found themselves logging in from their kitchen tables or even their beds. This was all possible with with the internet technology and electronic gadgets.

These technologies did not just show us ways we can do our work but are giving us a glimpse into a future where work might look quite different. They are telling us more about how many of us would choose to do our work in the near future. The future is already here are with lots of changes already taken place and this could change the way we work forever.

Is the future of work remote?
The daily grind is not easy; waking up every morning, driving or taken a bus just to commute to work. Having a flexible work time is the aspirations of many people now. This is why the idea of ditching the daily commute and working from anywhere with the aid of technology sounds very appealing for many people. Even for companies, it sounds pretty good since it's beneficial in terms of reduced costs.

Automation on the Rise, is it the future?
I love technology since it has the potential to do work easily much more than we can possibly do. Through technological tools like robots, today most jobs are done easily and faster. This is now pushing forth more advances in robotic systems all for work.

We should be ready for more robots working alongside human staff in the near future. Even now Artificial intelligence (AI) and automation are taking over repetitive tasks, from data entry to manufacturing. As much as we enjoy these technologies, their developments and advancements also call for concern.

Looks like they will take over most of our jobs in future, this if should happen may cause many people to loose their jobs. AI is really helping us out, creating more new opportunities but will also take over some jobs as well. The best thing we can do is to learn alongside the AI tools to create new opportunities instead of doing nothing until we are lagged behind.

    Skills, will they still thrive?
The future of work will value creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. So our ability to learn and envelope new skills really matters a lot. As much as the rise of AI And robots calls for concern, learning skills that's hard for these tools to replicate or do is what will give us an edge in future.

Having the technical how in programming, coding, building, repairing, diagnostic and using any tools to create new opportunities will gives most people so much much advantage to thrive. What do you think about the future of work? I think the future is more exciting with technology but we can't also overlook the fact that it will also presents some challenges.

The key to overcoming any future challenge will depend on how well we've prepared. This preparations includes the right skills we've acquired, the knowledge we have learned. The future is not here but we can begin to see it more from what's going on now in our fast paced technological world. What do you think about the future of work?
