It was another grey and chilly day to be up in the hills for a good long hike.
We started out after a night of rain showers and were fortunate to get in a nice quick three miles without any rain. A couple of our friends were also out walking on the field but we didn't stop to chat today.
After running a few errands it was off to Lynx Creek for a hike up onto the more remote and rugged parts of the area.
A couple of people were also in the area and we net out good friend Russ and his husky Junior. It was early in our hike so we chatted for a bit while our dogs played. Then it was off into the narrowing ravine for another 4 miles.
The old road turned onto a narrow track which soon disappeared and we had to continue up the creek the best way we could find which often was scrambling over the rocky edge. Lulu had no trouble making her way along the creek but I had a tougher time climbing over some of the wet and slippery rock outcrops.
After a couple of miles up into the ravine we branched off and began a steep climb up the hillside to take us out to the main road for a much easier 2 miles back down to where we were parked and the finish of our great afternoon hike.
Thankfully the rain held off until we got home.
