Learning: Cryptic crypto and computer ease

    Greetings everyone!

A few weeks back, I had the opportunity to teach a friend about trading HIVE to FIAT using the recent method after Binance removed naira trading from the app. Throughout the process, she kept lamenting, "Ooooh! This thing is too hard!" and I didn't fail to encourage her to keep going because it's actually simple; it's just that it's her first time, which is why she's seeing every step as a high mountain to climb.

To my surprise, when we were done, she went on to try it by herself and she came back within a few minutes with the naira she got from her trading. That's what learning can do—sometimes it appears mountainous, especially on things that one is not typically inclined with, and other times, it appears easy peasy, especially on things that one is used to.

I have two sides to this too; sometimes I'm quick to learn while other times, it takes God's mercy for me to scale through the learning process.

    • The difficult learning:

It surprises most of my friends when I tell them that I'm not a crypto person because they see me as someone who knows too much due to how I used to lecture them on the basics I know.

Currently, there has been an airdrop process that I've been tutored several times to go and run the testnet before it launches. To be sincere, the whole process looks bogus; it spans from X, Discord, MetaMask wallet, and the app, and most crazily, I'm to use my money to run a portion of it.

I've read through all the materials and guidelines given to me, and the crypto words therein are not helping matters. Also, I've watched different tutorial YouTube videos on how to go about it, but it's still the same. I remember meeting one of my friends on this blockchain to guide me, and she laughed at me, saying, "If it's Hive, you'll be making mouth."

The issue is that crypto things are very difficult to flow with, especially when someone is not into the crypto world. I've been there but not too deep; I only know the basics, and anything involving brain-racking, no, I don't want to get involved. But sometimes I want to learn in order to belong to the evolving world, but it's just not working.

The task is yet to be done; it's been from one procrastination day to another. Maybe I'll be pushed to do it by the end of the expiring day.

    • The simple learning:

In my part of the world, we have a tradition of enrolling children to go into computer training immediately after high school just to be abreast with the basic knowledge of the computer because we are not always opportuned to get used to that in school, as a good number of schools don't do computer training.

For me, I wasn't opportuned to go into such training till today, but I have a handful of knowledge on computer basics.

    How did I do that?

Anytime I'm on the computer and finding a particular operation very difficult, I walk to YouTube, make a search, and get the knowledge from tutorials there. I think it's because I'm very fond of the phone that's why I find operating the laptop very easy.

Although I'm not a pro like the techy guys, I can't be lost, and if by any means I'm stranded, ideas on how to pull through would always come back.

    What it says about me?

It's clear; although anything is learnable, there are spaces that we excel easily without stress while there are others that it'll take enough brain stress to pass through.
Crypto things give me troubles to learn while computer things happen like eating pizza.

    Thanks for reading.
