There is a popular belief that a trip is enjoyed three times: when you plan it, when you live it and when you remember it. Today, thanks to this Throwback Thursday community, I have the perfect opportunity to relive one of those unforgettable moments: my visit to the Hard Rock Café in vibrant Panama City.
Hay una creencia popular que dice que un viaje se disfruta tres veces: cuando lo planificas, cuando lo vives y cuando lo recuerdas. Hoy, gracias a esta comunidad, tengo la oportunidad perfecta de revivir uno de esos momentos inolvidables: mi visita al Hard Rock Café en la vibrante ciudad de Panamá.
For any music lover, stepping into any Hard Rock Café is like entering a sacred temple. Its walls enclose history, a tribute to great artists and bands that have left their mark on the music industry. I remember that our original itinerary did not include this visit, but on one of our walks through the city we discovered its iconic facade and, without hesitation, we decided it was a must stop.
Para todo amante de la música, pisar cualquier Hard Rock Café es como entrar a un templo sagrado. Sus paredes encierran historia, un tributo a grandes artistas y bandas que han dejado huella en la industria musical. Recuerdo que en nuestro itinerario original no figuraba esta visita, pero en uno de nuestros paseos por la ciudad descubrimos su icónica fachada y, sin dudarlo, decidimos que era una parada obligatoria.
From the moment I walked through the door, I felt I was in a parallel universe where music is the absolute protagonist. Autographed guitars, gold records, costumes of legendary artists and even unusual pieces, such as rock star lingerie, decorated the place. Every corner had a story to tell, and I was fascinated exploring it all.
Desde el momento en que crucé la puerta, sentí que estaba en un universo paralelo donde la música es la protagonista absoluta. Guitarras autografiadas, discos de oro, vestuarios de artistas legendarios y hasta piezas inusuales, como lencería de alguna estrella del rock, decoraban el lugar. Cada rincón tenía una historia que contar, y yo estaba fascinada explorándolo todo.
But the best was yet to come. In the middle of the night, when the energy of the place was already contagious, the waiters suddenly went up to the main bar and started a live show. With music from the 70's and 80's as a soundtrack, they became true artists, cheering up everyone present. The atmosphere was transformed into a vibrant show where I couldn't help but join in: I sang, danced and clapped enthusiastically, feeling part of something really special. And, of course, photos with those charismatic characters were a must.
Pero lo mejor aún estaba por venir. En medio de la noche, cuando la energía del lugar ya era contagiosa, los meseros de repente subieron a la barra principal y comenzaron un show en vivo. Con música de los años 70 y 80 como banda sonora, se convirtieron en verdaderos artistas, animando a todos los presentes. La atmósfera se transformó en un espectáculo vibrante donde no pude evitar unirme: canté, bailé y aplaudí con entusiasmo, sintiéndome parte de algo realmente especial. Y, por supuesto, las fotos con aquellos carismáticos personajes no podían faltar.
The dining experience was also memorable. Hard Rock Café is known for its varied offer of dishes and drinks, and my choice was a strawberry milkshake without a drop of alcohol, and I can tell you that I really loved it. The glass in which it was served to me was huge, so much so that I spent most of the night enjoying it, and to my delight, they gave it to me as a souvenir of the evening. I also tried the national beer Panama, which turned out to be refreshing and delicious, perfect to accompany the evening.
La experiencia gastronómica también fue memorable. Hard Rock Café es conocido por su variada oferta de platos y bebidas, y mi elección fue un batido de fresa sin ninguna gota de alcohol, y puedo decirles que realmente me encantó. El vaso en el que me lo sirvieron era enorme, tanto que pasé casi toda la noche disfrutándolo, y para mi alegría, me lo regalaron como recuerdo de la velada. También probé la cerveza nacional Panamá, que resultó ser refrescante y deliciosa, perfecta para acompañar la noche.
That visit to the Hard Rock Café in Panama has become one of my favorite experiences. Not only was it a place where I enjoyed good food and excellent music, but it allowed me to live a moment full of emotions, laughter and connection with the essence of rock. I trust that life will give me the opportunity to repeat this experience and, at the same time, I wish that any music lover can visit a place like this and feel as excited as I was.
Esa visita al Hard Rock Café de Panamá se ha convertido en una de mis experiencias favoritas. No solo fue un lugar donde disfruté de buena comida y excelente música, sino que me permitió vivir un momento lleno de emociones, risas y conexión con la esencia del rock. Confío en que la vida me dará la oportunidad de repetir esta experiencia y, al mismo tiempo, deseo que cualquier amante de la música pueda visitar un lugar como este y sentirse tan emocionado como yo lo estuve.
Now, as I share these memories with you, it remains for me to enjoy the photos that capture the magic of that night and dream of the day when I can live it again. Because, in the end, the best memories are always worth reliving again and again.
