Hi there. In this travel post, our travel group check out Shenzhen's famous electronics market in Huaqiangbei (Huaqiang North). This place was one most wanted places to visit in Shenzhen and in China. Yes there are parks, beaches and other cool attractions in Shenzhen but this Electronics market is something that was a must. I have seen many Youtube videos of this area as part of my research.
Getting To Huaqiangbei By Metro
Getting to Huaqiangbei by subway is quite easy in Shenzhen. Head to Huaqiang North station on Line 7 in dark blue or on Line 2 in the brown-orange colour . Depending on where you are traveling from you may need an interchange or two.
I think almost any exit at Huqqiangbei station is okay. You are at the electronics market area if you are at big and wide pesestrian street with stores on your left and right.

Huaqiangbei Electronics Market
This Huaqiangbei electronics market in Shenzhen is crazy. There are many stores and shops to choose from. It felt that there may have been a million employees in this area alone that sell electronics.
The variety of products is crazy. You have your phones, tablets, computers, laptops, drones, LED lights, headphones, speakers and more. You can find brands like Huawei, Oppo, Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi and more. There are fake branded electronic products, unbranded electronic products that are much cheaper than brand name ones plus officially branded products. There are also second hand products such as phones and laptops that you can purchase too.
There are quite a few wholesale electronics markets in Huaqiangbei. They are:
- SEG Electronics Mall
- Yuanwang Digital Mall
- Mingtong Digital City
- Cyber Digital Center
- Bao'an Electronics Market
- HQ-Mart
- Manhar Digital Plaza
Since there is so much to see in Huaqiangbei alone, you may want to schedule a whole day here. There are many eating areas nearby so you can have a lunch break here.

HQ Mart
HQ Mart was my favourite mall in the Huaqiangbei area. It is a bit of a tall mall with seven floors. The top floor (6F) is not really for retail shoppers are those businesses are dealing with mass orders. The fifth floor has shops dedicated for lighting. The lighting products are actually quite cool as you can purchase cool LED lights. It was my idea to go from floor 1 to floor 5 then work our way down.
There are different entrances to HQ Mart but you should find your way to the escalators. The first floor has some cool stuff but the nicer stuff is from floors two to four.

I wish I took more pictures here to show. There was so much in this HQ Mart mall.
I did not buy too much but the other people bought a lot. I got a few phone power banks. The others got unbranded smart watches, fans, lights, charging cables and other consumer products.
The coolest store from the outside is this one with the fancy backpacks. They also have animated fans or something. Here are more pictures.

If you are in Shenzhen, China (South China near Hong Kong), I highly recommend paying a visit to Huaqianbei and the electronics market area. This place is crazy and is very difficult to not buy something.
