Turning a rant into street art

So far, I didn't want to complain and spoil these festive days for those who would happen to read this post; celebrating the New Year's holidays always involves a lot of good and beautiful wishes. We wish each other all the best on our first day of the calendar year because, according to some beliefs, how our year starts is how it will be for the rest of it. Well, let me tell you that it is just a superstition. Many times on the first day of the year things have broken in our house or smaller accidents have happened, and after that, the year went on regularly, like any other. So this time I will stay with positive thinking too, although, I must admit, this small event that I am going to tell you about overshadowed in some moments our start of the year and the joy of travelling together with my husband. I couldn't get out of my mind the thing.

On January 1, we already had a trip to Malaga scheduled, we left at midday because in the morning I still had one gig, a last-minute booking. It wasn't hard for me to get up at 6:45 on January 1, it's a routine I'm used to when I have my morning performances. The one small problem I had that morning was that we couldn't find our car key. We usually hang it on the key holder where the house keys are hanging too. Well, the car key wasn't there, but since I sometimes forget to hang it up, we kept looking in our jacket pockets and bags. It wasn't anywhere.

I must have lost it on Monday because I didn't use the car on Tuesday. Maybe I dropped it on the street somewhere, after I locked the car and before I got home. I don't know. Maybe I unconsciously took it on Tuesday when I went to buy bread and other groceries, and then it fell out of my pocket... I really can't visualize where and how that could have happened, but the key is gone!

As I had to go to my gig and later travel to Malaga I took the spare key of the car.

    the spare key

It doesn't work perfectly though. The buttons to lock or unlock the doors don't react each time, so that is why we need to make a new, good one as soon as possible. It can happen that we can't lock or unlock the car anymore so we searched for locksmiths that can make a copy of our car key and program the new remote controller. We visited three locksmiths but none could help us... One was closed, the second told us to go to their other office which was not so close and the third one needed to order from the official car brand manufacturer as according to him it was not possible to make a copy of the key for our car. (nonsense hahaha)

After this third one, I gave up as I wanted to see the city, enjoy our holidays and not waste more time. However, in this mission, I spotted some murals on the other side of the last locksmith's shop. It was the wall of a school, Blas Infante Primary School in the street of Jerez Perchet, so I took some pictures and decided if I tell you this lost key story it should not be a rant post but a street art post. :))

A few streets away, where we parked the car this house screamed for my attention! Music... 😃

The cat was also already close to the place where we parked the car and it would be impossible not to spot it, with that crazy gaze. I think it wanted to come to Hive exactly today, for #caturday. 😁

So what about the lost remote car key? We will find someone who can make a copy of it (I know what the price is... 🙄) in our place next week and then remember - always hang up the car key in its place and keep it in a bag or deeper pocket while on the street. If not... this cat will come for me hahaha!
