My Top Picks for Relaxation

in voilk •  last month

My phone has always been a good source of entertainment for me. As an introvert and a couch potato, my hobbies revolve around my phone, movies/short films, reading, and music. I easily get bored whenever my phone is off, as it is my only means of entertainment. During my leisure time, I can spend hours lying on the couch scrolling through books, watching movies, or listening to and learning the lyrics of songs. Being so passionate about good movies, books, and songs, I constantly explore apps to find ones that suit my tastes better. I also ask my friends to suggest different apps I can try for music, movies, and books. Out of the many apps I have tried so far, three stand out and have been serving my needs. Here they are:

**The first on the list is Spotify. **

This app comes in handy whenever I need to play and listen to music. My favorite feature is being able to create and arrange playlists for different genres of songs. I listen to and play music according to my mood, and I hate the struggle of having to scroll endlessly looking for a particular song to suit my mood. Spotify allows me to create as many playlists as I want to save songs according to my mood.

One might wonder if Spotify is the only music app that allows users to create different playlists. No, it's not, but the interface of Spotify is much easier to use. Talk about a user-friendly interface, you have Spotify. Some music apps I have tried in the past were difficult to navigate. I could spend hours looking for downloaded songs and playlists. Some downloaded songs just disappeared from my playlist, and others I couldn't listen to songs without watching ads or turning my data on, like on Boomplay. The ads and bugs makes it hard to enjoy music. So when I found Spotify, I knew I had found the right place. I can play all the songs I want, even though I can’t download and listen offline because I'm not a premium member yet. There are very few, almost no, ads or bugs to disturb me.

The second app is the movies box.

Just as the name implies, it is an app for downloading or streaming movies. It is my all-time favorite for downloading movies. This app is very convenient and serves its purpose well. I can download as many movies as I want, choose the video quality while downloading, and manage storage easily.

What makes it a real asset is the fact that one can download and watch almost all movies. Different genres are well-organized; for example, all action movies are tagged and arranged together, as are all romantic movies, and so on. Most importantly, there are no bugs and very few ads, which you can disable. When choosing apps for relaxation and entertainment, one of the many things I look out for is the presence of bugs and ads, as we all know how annoying and frustrating they can be.

The Movies Box app gives users control over what they want to see. All movies are free, with no subscription needed to download any. You can simply download and watch offline. If you're looking for where to watch all Netflix series and more for free, Movies Box has got you covered.

    *Guess what?

The Movies Box is more than just an app for entertainment. It also has an education section for pupils and students of all classes. Students can download and watch explanations and teachings on various topics and subjects.

    *Amazing right?? *

Initially, when I was told about this app, I thought it was one of those apps where you are allowed to download only one movie per day if you do not subscribe. But when I tried it, it was just what I wanted, no subscription required and no restriction on how many videos one can download. Most importantly, it is very seamless and easy to use.

    Wattpad

Book lovers will certainly agree that Wattpad is the best app to read all kinds of stories: fiction, romance, hate, high school, non-fiction, werewolf, you name it, and you can find it on Wattpad. If I am not watching movies or listening to songs, I could stay glued to my phone reading stories on Wattpad.

My favorite feature, just like on the Spotify app, is that I can create different reading lists where I can organize similar genres and categories of stories. This means I can create a reading list for all fantasy stories, romance, high school stories, and more. Don't blame me for loving such features; I love them organized. I don't need to worry about where to find each story.

Some Wattpad original stories are not free; you need to be a premium user to access them. But don't worry, Wattpad has you covered. If you don't have money to subscribe, you can still enjoy these stories by playing games and earning coins to unlock them. It is just the best app where I can read stories even on the go. It is a place where stories live.

So friends, those are my top three picks for relaxation: Movies Box, with its huge collection of free movies and easy downloads; Wattpad, where book lovers can read all kinds of stories and organize them into reading lists; and the Spotify app with it's user-friendly interface
