Palawan Island has some of the most beautiful tropical mountains I've seen, and they are on the same level as Borneo.
This was a road trip to the Underground River on Palawan Island, and I decided to take my drone with no expectations, but I'm so happy that I did.
It is one of the best sites for farm fields, with beautiful mountains in the background. All these photos were taken on the way back to Puerto Princesa.
This was the spot from which I flew the drone. The drive all around was very scenic, and the mountains truly topped it off.
I spent a lot of time just capturing this one cliff rock. I love taking photos of cliffs; there is something about them that makes them so special. These mountains are in the middle of Palawan Island, and in general, the Philippines always amazes me with how it truly has a bit of every country in terms of nature. In one spot, you will have New Zealand's nature, and in another spot, you will have Australian wilderness. It's truly fascinating.
It was about a 2-hour drive on dodgy roads, which is nothing new coming from Malaysia and Indonesia. We enjoyed the ride and had a great time in the Underground River, which I recommend to everyone who is going to Palawan. It's about a 45-minute row through the underwater caves, something you only do once since there were so many tourists that day.
