For two days now I am able to take a break from sewing as I was found making new outfits even into the new year. I completely needed the break and some rest from all the work and activities of the previous year.
After a good rest we can then begin the activities for the new year.

While wrapping up the sewing activities for last year I got this recycle Job from a friends who wants me to revamp an old outfit for her daughter.

The dress belonged to the elder sister who has now outgrown it and since it was still looking good enough we didn't want to throw it off just like that.

To start the recycling I had to loosing majority of the stitches First the neckline was too deep for the younger child.

Cutting the shoulder raised the neckline and half length a bit higher

Next I opened up the dress and cut every single piece of it to the newer and smaller size measurements.

The dress was without a sleeve earlier, so I had to purchase a sequence fabric to make her cut the sleeves, that was done here

And then I went ahead to stitch up the parts, added some embroidery to the stitch lines in order not to show any rough edges

It was time to try out the new outfit and it came out perfect on her. She had intended to wear this dress on one of the festive days before I eventually made her a newer dress after her tailor disappointed.
The baby girl has two beautiful dresses now and I was happy about that. After completing them I took some time to rest and having sewn any outfit since yesterday.

I hope that we all have a blessed day today and thanks for stopping by.
