Beating a National Master in chess 960. 4-game match

To beat a qualified player, you need hundreds and hundreds of hours of training, understanding the game, a little more experience and in many cases even a pinch of luck.

In my life I have only beaten a few titled players and I think that is the most special thing that a semi-pro player like me can do, who does not have many aspirations to ever have one of those titles

But even more special is to do it in a variant that you barely know, Chess 960 is one that I have been playing for a very short time and it has already given me joy

I played a 4-game match against the master, they were some of the hardest because in 960 you always have to be improvising on the pieces that they give you, there is nothing certain so you have to be prepared for everything

especially to apply the basic principles of chess, that where you have to control the center, develop your pieces as quickly as possible and exploit the weaknesses of the opponent, something that in many of these initial positions There are

Dominating the center is one of the principles that I use the most in these games. Many of the initial positions have our pieces very trapped. It is difficult to get both the bishops and the queen out on some occasions. You have to think outside the box a lot to generate situations, especially moving quickly because I like to play a lot of bullets on these occasions.

As you can see, many of these games are absolute chaos. In many cases, I had no idea what my plan was, I only had in mind to organize my part of the board so as not to have problems later.

I will soon be bringing my summary of hivechess for the week, where I have done very well after a week in which I resumed my training. Nothing to envy these masters!
