Gone were the days when I always feel like streaming movies as a movie lover is like wasting data, I do have limited data and I had to manage them so as to have movies and still be able to stay online, I have a particular friend who store movies on his pc and one flash drive, anytime I need movies, I will use go to his place and get them in series, he always advice me to download any movie I wish to watch so he can also store it on his hard drive, at times I do think he always sell this movie, he made me know most of this movies site like netnaija, 02tvseries among other but one day I did pass myself, I had 1gb or so and I was to tired to even download that particular movie and just stream it instead, I never understand the video quality stuff back then but I knew the movie was really clear enough, it felt like I was watching on 4k, little did I know I was toying with my data, I was enjoying the movie till I receive the Mtn "you have exhausted your data balance", it really pained me.
I prefer downloading since then, before downloading, I get to pick which one I need, if it is high or low quality and I also get to see how many mb I will be using for such download but at some point I got tired of downloading movies and the main reason was because of my phone space, most of the time, once I'm done watching the movie I download, I find it hard to delete just because I will want to watch another time so it keep piling up till it turn to phone space issue.
One day I figure out the streaming aspect and I start loving it since then plus it is way easy, if you don't want to waste data streaming, just try to reduce the quality at times 720p is a lot and data consuming even though you will love how the quality is, it will be so clear and if you have good network, it will stream perfectly without buffing but if you are someone that want to manage the data part, streaming at 320 is ok or 480p won't really consume your data that much, so when streaming on any platform be it netflix, youtube etc, I always consider the quality I will be streaming it.
Somehow, I still make use of both but I only download once in a while If i figure out the movie isn't on netflix or some free streaming platforms, so instead of subscribing to watch, I will just type some keywords on google to download or hop into telegram which I know, one channel will surely upload it. Nowadays I do more of streaming than downloading
