Not sure if it is how busy the last couple of weeks have been at work with the added weight of my workouts but I woke up very sluggish today. I was also feeling some soreness around my ankles which raised a red flag for me as the last thing I want is to get an injury. I do not want to interrupt the momentum I have gained.
As I thought about my workout today, I opted to skip speed intervals and instead go for a moderate jog starting slower than usual with a gradual pace increase. I was able to keep my heart rate manageable and my ankles felt fine so I got 35 minutes completed. I continued on the treadmill for another half hour as a cooldown as well. Surprisingly, I still had the strength to do some core training on the mat as soon as I got off the treadmill so get my full workout done for the day.
