It would be nice if it would stop raining sometime soon. Yesterday morning it was fairly clear and we managed to get a bit of sun to poke through as it came up. We were slated for a douching later in the day though.
PDC Euro tour is on from Germany and I was happy to see Cam get his win.
As I headed out to work on the truck the sun was still visible and gave me a bit of warmth to work in, though the winds were picking up already.
Taking it apart AGAIN. I finally found the block water drain and got the coolant fully drained this time. Parts came off and went to the bags again to keep them all segregated and easy to find for reassembly.
This was a match I HAD to watch. BOTH players are a couple of my favorites. It was easy in the end since either one I'd be happy for.
Rapid Ricky Evans got the win which he so desperately needed and deserves. His sister died not too long ago and he has gone through major battles AND he is just a nice guy so to see him win is great. He threw the fastest 180 possibly ever as well.
I saw the rain inbound on the doppler and had wanted to get up to the upper property so made the hike up and then the round of the fence line. Still too cool for the eagles to be dropping feathers.
The valley is just beginning to green but the warm temps next week will kick it all into gear.
The O2 sensors and the new extruder motor arrived as the rains did.
More parts off the motor and I was trying to find something to drain the oil into that is CLEAN... Took me way longer than it should have to figure it out.
I grabbed the tube of gasket maker and globbed a healthy pile of it around the wires where they exit the motor in hopes of keeping them from breaking again in the future. After installing the plug backwards then turning it around it worked perfectly.
I had hoped the rains would miss us but we were in the line of fire.
The boys walked in the house after school as I was finishing the printer fix and I heard the pounding of the rain on the deck.
A moment of reprieve then it really hit.
And it dumped all afternoon and into the evening.
We got douched with rain and ski49n got a bunch more snow. Still 182" snow depth on the summit.
I wanted to grill so built myself a temp fire pit. I just stacked bricks wide enough for the grill to sit on then got a fire going quickly in between rain dumps. I tossed a piece of super pitch pine on and it did the trick of keeping the fire going as the rains pounded down.
The printer back in order I got borders printed for the HSW panels.
It just wouldn't stop. Thankfully we have the carport to stand under while I grilled.
The fire pit worked perfect. The open ends really allowed the fire to burn well and gave me a nice amount of heat to work with.
The buns went on as it was dumping but the fire did okay at keeping most of the rain evaporating before it hit the buns.
The next set of borders came out perfectly.
I think there is enough filament on the spool to get another frame printed this morning.
FINALLY at 9pm the backside of the rain was just moving past as we went out to soak.
R's wrestling tournament this morning and if the brackets are right he has a bye first round so will only have 2 matches today, PDC is on, I hope to get a bale of hay this afternoon if we are done soon enough, keep working on the truck, keep printer going, and maybe grill again for dinner.
