Hi friends, I want to say a big thanks you for inspiring me to join the #homesteading community, its been months after I made my first post here on hive, I could not continue for reasons being that I had to spent some time with my uncle after I was done with my final year exams, I would have to share been sharing my experience of spending time with a local farmer, my uncle is into the plantations of yam, cassava, cocoyam, and vegetables.
My experience with him has stimulated and motivated me to start my gardening journey, were I live in the town, we buy almost everything but my uncle has almost all of this thing in his garden, so my last six months with him has prompted my journey into planting my own pepper garden.
I started this a few weeks ago, with the sand in the bags, I sprayed the pepper seeds on the sand surface then allow it to grow, all I have done so far is watering it, you can see that it is due to transplanting, like my uncle taught me, He said I should allow them grow out so that you can better handle it while transplanting.
This is my beginning of the journey, Am planning to transplant them by next weekend unfailingly, if time permits me, am sure you will be carried along in the process. Am seeing many amazing gardening experience in the community that is already motivating me to fully go into the things that my uncle taught me as a farmer, I want to believe my going there was Design by God to help me navigate through life in an amazing way, While I was with him, I didn’t find it interesting at the start, I didn’t like doing much of farming engagement but its more like he has inputted the spirit in me , also coming back to see what is happening here, am so happy.
