Chiro, Feed, Sunny Rain, Map, Score, Brooder Setup, LoRa, Dinner - Monday

After getting the boys to school yesterday morning I was in town for my chiro appointment which each one is improving the state of my neck and back. As I chew more on the right side it is evening out the muscles in my head so the TMJ pain is reducing a lot. Still some pain there but drastically less than it was. I wish I felt like Superman.

On the way home I stopped at the farm store to buy more chick feed and also a salt block for the sheep. I dropped the block inside their hut out of the moisture and saw that they had just a small chunk of the last block left, about the size of a tennis ball. So my timing was perfect on the purchase, I was just guessing they needed a new one.

The 3 bags exactly topped off the 50 gallon drum in the coop and gives me more than enough feed to get the turkeys to teenager size. This makes about 12.8 pounds of feed per bird. They should be here Friday I think as they ship tomorrow.

Over the morning it rained off an on as cells passed over the farm. Numerous times the sun shone in around the cell and gave the cool sunny rain.

A few cells DUMPED for a few minutes as they sped past but were soon northeast of us and into Idaho. The best part of the rains was that they DID melt off the last of the snow around the farm!!!!! Oh happy day! Now the soil can thaw, dry, and get tilled as soon as is possible.

In working on IFS I realized that I needed to start a list of issues to work on and I found thee XMind program which is a pretty powerful mind mapping app. It's given me a chance to sort through a bunch and categorize them. I've never liked mind maps before so this is all a bit new to me but so far is working well for what I need it for.

After noon I spent a stint at the board and once warmed up managed a LOT of good throws. This was my best with a 162. My grip on the darts is much more consistent now and my throw is becoming more controllable as the muscle memory builds.

I'm reading up on LoRa now. There are a number of inexpensive units that can be setup for mesh networking that can be used for comms with out cell, phone, or internet. It can be used to do p2p BTC transactions and can be a interface for oodles of IOT devices. I'm looking at making a solar powered one that I could mount on the upper property that would give the longest range possible.

After picking the boys up from school I went out to work on the brooder hut. Both the lights work, I got the chips spread out, the waterers and feed tray out, then closed it up to keep the flock out. I need to staple the wire over the front still but then it will be ready for the chicks on Friday.

R didn't feel up to wrestling practice so he and I stayed home while @stryeyz and J went to a screening of a film at the school. I got dinner made early for practice but ti worked out for them and the film. Dinner was a staple now of ground beef and rice with a salad.

They got home closer to 8pm so it was a bit late when we got out to soak. Whatever R got I have and could feel it while soaking, and even more so this morning.

Today is a chance of rain but then we are on the warm up to the 60s F by the weekend. I'll get the boys to and from school, do lessons, work on the brooder hut more, keep reading up on LoRa, keep adding to map, the Kraken play this evening, and I might load the trailer with rocks from the yard and add to the wall if I feel up to it.
