It seems hard to believe and even I had to sit down for a moment to watch the trailers and see the gameplays and finally see the public's reaction, but we finally have the Dragon Ball game that we have been waiting for for a decade or maybe even more, and I couldn't be happier at this moment despite not having been able to play it yet.

Although we have had quite a few games, Dragon Ball is an IP that cannot afford NOT to release a game annually, and yes, most of these games were great and even several of them seem to me to be some of the best games that have been able to come out of the saga, but we are talking about a legendary successor.

In many ways, depending on which gamer you ask, they'll tell you that Sparking Zero is a continuation of a game that came out more than a decade ago, called Budokai Tenkaichi 3, remember that name because for many it is the best Dragon Ball game ever released.

And they're probably right, I also think the same but not with a feeling of nostalgia but I genuinely believe that the combination of aesthetics, gameplay and variety was at its highest point with Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and now with Sparking Zero it has reached a new high.

The character catalog is always the most juicy thing about these games. I remember that when I was a kid and I played Budokai Tenkaichi I made my own What Ifs with not so well-known characters and in Sparking Zero they follow that same tradition and expand it to unsuspected limits. Remember that in 2008 there were no DLCs or anything like that nonsense, but today we can have new fighters every now and then and that seems great to me.

In addition to the already gigantic cast of characters that they have put in, beyond the fact that in the end we always choose the same ones, I think that it is a section that always has to be in Dragon Ball, in addition to the fact that they all have unique attacks and movements according to the character.

Let's move on to the gameplay because it's like we left Budokai Tenkaichi right where we left it, the fights are frenetic and more visual than ever, the special movements return, the Galick Gun and the Kamehameha return, all in a spectacle of explosions that makes Even more spectacular is walking through the character roaster.

Another mode that I have seen and I really liked is the story and how they have designed it this time, as I said before the what ifs are quite interesting due to how great the Dragon Ball characters are and here they have taken advantage of that resource not only giving us all the complete sagas but also bits of alternative stories with more than good results.

I really enjoyed seeing the originality in this section and how simple decisions can lead to other very different scenarios such as Goku surviving Raditz or Vegeta becoming Super Saiyan much earlier than we expected, all followed by their respective fights with some exclusive characters for this game mode.

Everything I say is based on the experiences I have read and the videos I have seen about the game, I hope that very soon it will go down in price so that I can buy it and have it in my library to play it all day, I am sure it will be like reliving my childhood or what is left of it, Sparking Zero is one of the best fighting video games of the year in a year that is already very good for games of this type.
