My youngest sister called this morning, wanting to know if I felt any better and if I wanted to go thrift store shopping with her. I still do not feel 100% but I am feeling better than I have for the last few days.
This is a shop we visited a few years ago, I did not take any pictures from today's trip. This store carries a variety of odd things where else could you see the Grim Ripper next to the Statue of Liberty and fish?
They even have a bottle tree, but I like mine better.

We talked and laughed about many things but the rise of nationalism was not one of them. We talked about selling our Mother's home that mom wanted her to have but the other sister wants her name on it, too. She said she can not keep the upkeep on the place, it is in too bad of shape and she is filing for custody of her two granddaughters whom she has been raising for the last 7 years and she thinks they will not like them living in such a run down place. I think they will not care if tiles are loose on the bathroom floor or if there is a soft spot under the sink, what they are going to look at is, is the house clean, yes, is there plenty of food, yes. Are the kids clean and well cared for, yes. But then she said she can not afford to pay the taxes on the place, I could not argue with her on that one. I am not sure what they would be but when Mom passed, they took the homestead exception away and I do know having that can save you several thousand dollars.
She said she would rather sell it and have the money divided 3 ways, which I am sure will piss the other sister off, she thinks that since they have been living there, the place should be for two of them. I do not know what I did to her to make her act like this toward me, the other sister says I did nothing, she says that is just the way she is, she treats everyone like that, even her. What a miserable way to be. I wish I had asked Mom if maybe they found her floating on a raft in the ocean or if someone left her at our campground like they left dogs.
Halo is a no-kill animal shelter in my town and they have a thrift store.
I found the perfect little cage to carry Rudy in, the wheel will unscrew so I can take it out. I also got a nice compliment, I was paying for it and the lady asked what kind of animal I had to go in it, and I told her Rudy's story. A lady was standing in line behind me, she spoke up and said she just had to tell me what a good job I did with Rudy, she said she has a wild animal rescue, and baby rabbits are very hard to keep alive. Even though I knew this, it made me feel good to hear it.
