    Hello friends of Lifestyle!

I have been a little absent these days, the weather in Cuba has been unusually cold, with temperatures between 15 and 19 degrees Celsius, something quite surprising for our tropical island accustomed to an average of 30 degrees. This winter has been hard and has affected our daily routine, as I have caught a cold, but I did not want to overlook sharing with you my father's departure to the Margarita Islands in Venezuela, after spending a vacation here in Havana with me, something that had not happened for years, due to various postponements.

He was with us for a little over a month, I made some posts where I was able to tell some things about his stay. I must confess that I noticed that my dad was already a little slow and the weight of his years was noticeable, although he always maintained a great disposition. During his stay, we had to visit the hospital several times because he had problems with blood pressure and, in addition, he has suffered from heart disease for many years, I took advantage of the opportunity to have him close for a while and take him to the doctor. These medical matters kept me quite busy, but they managed to stabilize him and give him emergency treatment, which will be checked and continued again in Venezuela.

But well, after all this, the day of his departure had already arrived, so we left early despite the cold of our short winter, although his flight was at 11:30 am, we had to be there 3 hours earlier. The landscape towards the airport was beautiful, since the day was quite clear and we enjoyed the trip since it is a very nice route and the sky was very cloudy, but with a nice blue color in the background. Near the airport is the University Studies Center, where a significant number of engineering courses are taught, the CUJAE (José Antonia Echevarría University Center). Almost the entire road was full of palm trees that I like so much.

Once inside the airport I walked around a few areas, not many, but from the bridge I saw the hangar. I really like that view, although it brings back a bit of nostalgia, because of the times I have had to go and say goodbye to relatives, especially my son, but I can't help but recognize that our airport, despite being small, has very beautiful vegetation in all the outside areas.

But we headed to reception pretty quickly because we were worried about his flight, since these direct trips from Cuba to Margarita Islands are usually very irregular, but fortunately, everything was in order. We accompanied my dad to check in. My nephew helped him with his luggage, since he didn't have to carry any weight, and we watched him through the glass until he had to move out of that room and we lost contact with him, but in less than two hours his flight left, which we monitored through an app until he met up with my anxious sister on the other side.

Acompañamos a mi papá a hacer el check in.

Later, after 3:00 pm, my sister @taniagonzalez called us to confirm that my dad had arrived and was already with her.

It was a very busy day. My dad has been in Margarita Islands for two days now and calls us from time to time to talk about his daily life. I am very glad that after his 82 years he still has so much vitality. Greetings friends, until next time!
