Hi fellow explorers! My first post on Urbex

This is my first post here, hopefully one in a series!

I have done quite a bit of Urbex and related types of photography through the years, and still include that when traveling whenever possible.

I want to start this off with a tiny series of photographs from the now non existent, old asylum of Lier, in Norway. This was from the first foray into the buildings, with a fellow photographer quite a while ago. This building is now gone...

Some of the beds were still present here...

Almost all the rooms were trashed in a way that didn't really look like vandalism, perhaps fittings and anything that can be recycled has been torn out?

In any building left to itself paint of course peels off, but here it was quite something! Probably a late layer of latex paint, almost looks like some rococo adornments this :-)

For some reason this room had a really spooky vibe to it, perhaps some medical procedure happened here...

Clearly these windows were made so that you can't easily break out, they were wooden but very solid!

    Another quite creepy room...

All of this was done with my Leica M8, will dig up what later did with a Mamiya RZ in 120 format later!
