What's up Splinterfam! I welcome you to my weekly challenge or Battle mage secrets, it is always a pleasure when Splinterlands presents us with these kinds of challenges not only because it tests us but because it allows us to share the strategies and points of view of the rest of the community, as well which becomes a great learning process. This time the ruleset of the week is Fab Four, let's see what it is about.

Les doy la bienvenida a mi reto semanal o Battle mage secrets, siempre es un gusto cuando Splinterlands nos plantea esta clase de desafíos no solo porque nos pone a prueba sino porque nos permite compartir las estrategias y puntos de vistas del resto de la comunidad, así que se convierte en un proceso de gran aprendizaje. En esta ocasión la ruleset de la semana es Fab Four, veamos de que se trata.
⚔️ Fab Four
This is one of the most recent rulesets that were introduced to the game and it basically proposes that only 4 monsters can be summoned on the battlefield.
Esta es una de las rulesets más recientes que fueron introducidas al juego y básicamente nos propone que en el campo de batalla solo pueden invocarse 4 monstruos en el campo de batalla.
From my point of view, this is the second most challenging ruleset of the new rules since not only do you have the possible mana limitations and what kinds of splinters you can choose, but now you add the fact of having to select your 4 best cards to achieve victory. Below I will show you what my strategy was to overcome this challenge. Let's get started!
Desde mi punto de vista, esta es la segunda ruleset más desafiante de las nuevas reglas ya que no solo tienes las posibles limitantes del mana y que clases de splinters puedes escoger, sino que ahora se suma el hecho de tener que seleccionar tus 4 mejores cartas para lograr la victoria. A continuación te mostraré cual fue mi estrategia para poder superar este reto. Comencemos!

Our battle consists of 3 main rulesets: Aimless, Fab Four & Close Range with a fairly wide mana limit: 57. As we can only summon 4 monsters we will use a simple and direct strategy: Firmly hit the second row with opportunistic high damage cards and for that we will use the alignment that I describe below.
Nuestra batalla consta de 3 rulesets principales: Aimless, Fab Four & Close Range con un límite de mana bastante amplio: 57. Como solo podemos invocar 4 monstruos usaremos una estrategia simple y directa: Golpear con firmeza la segunda fila con cartas oportunistas de gran daño y para eso usaremos la alineación que te describo a continuación.

🧙♂️Summoner/Invocador: Helios Matriarch
As we have enough mana, we will use this dragon summoner to incorporate a powerful gladius card into our lineup. Additionally, this card will increase the speed of our units, giving us the possibility of making the first attack.
Como tenemos suficiente cantidad de mana usaremos a este invocador dragón para incorporar en nuestra alineación una potente carta gladius, además esta carta incrementará la velocidad de nuestras unidades dándonos la posibilidad de dar el primer ataque.
👾 Monsters/Monstruos: Noa the Just
For our first attack to be effective we must make sure to eliminate any defense that protects the enemy secondary row and for that reason Noa the Just is our best option, it has the Rust ability that eliminates defenses and also with dodge giving it a high avasion rate , will therefore be our main tank.
Para que nuestro primer ataque sea efectivo debemos asegurarnos de eliminar cualquier defensa que proteja la fila secundaria enemiga y por esa razón Noa the Just es nuestra mejor opción, cuenta con la habilidad Rust que elimina las defensas y también con dodge dándole una alta tasa de evasión, será por tanto nuestro tanque principal.
👾 Kulu Mastermind
Our first offensive card, this card stands out not only for its great damage but also for the large amount of life and resistance to physical and ranged attacks, making it virtually a tank. His Weapons training ability allows him to confer his attacks to Noa the Just allowing him to attack from the first position.

Nuestra primera carta ofensiva, esta carta destaca no solo por su gran daño sino también por la gran cantidad de vida y resistencia a los ataques físicos y de rango lo convierten virtualmente en un tanque. Su habilidad Weapons training le permite conferir sus ataques a Noa the Just permitiéndole atacar desde la primera posición.
👾 Isgald Vorst
This is the gladius card that we are going to use to complement our offensive strategy. The danger of this card lies in its bloodlust ability, which allows it to increase all its statistics as it eliminates opposing cards. We will place it in third position.
Esta es la carta gladius que vamos a utilizar para complementar nuestra estrategia ofensiva, la peligrosidad de esta carta reside en su habilidad bloodlust lo que le permite aumentar todas sus estadísticas a medida que va eliminando cartas contrarias, la ubicaremos en la tercera posición.
👾 Deeplurker
Our last opportunist card has very good statistics for a common opportunist card. I currently have it at level 7, so it also has the poison ability. It will be our last card and the one that will protect our rearguard.
Nuestra última carta oportunista, tiene muy buenas estadísticas para ser una carta oportunista común, actualmente la tengo en nivel 7 por lo que cuenta además con la habilidad poison será nuestra última carta y la que protegerá nuestra retaguardia.
⚔️Strategy and battle lineup/Estrategia y alineación de batalla
Once our simplified team was assembled, we sent the battle and we can see that our opponent preferred to leave his victory to chance with an alignment of ranked units in second position. I particularly hate the aimless ability and it is precisely because I cannot have control of where my units will attack that I preferred to choose opportunistic cards that direct their attacks at the weakest monsters.
Una vez armado nuestro simplificado equipo enviamos la batalla y podemos observar que nuestro oponente prefirió dejar su victoria a la suerte con una alineación de unidades rango en la segunda posición. Particularmente odio la habilidad aimless y es precisamente porque no puedo tener control de hacia donde atacarán mis unidades por eso preferí escoger cartas oportunistas que dirijan sus ataques a los monstruos más débiles.

💥Round 1💥
Although the opponent placed units with enormous amounts of life, the combined damage of our 3 opportunistic cards adds up to 12 points and we also nullified his defense with rust. Thus our first victim is Arkemis and although our Deeplurker received a fatal blow he can still live to attack in the next round.
Aunque el oponente ubicó unidades con enormes cantidades de vida, el daño combinado de nuestras 3 cartas oportunistas suma 12 puntos y además anulamos su defensa con el rust. Así nuestra primera víctima es Arkemis y aunque nuestro Deeplurker recibió un golpe fatal aun puede vivir para atacar en el siguiente round.
💥Round 2💥
In the second round the second victim is ancient reddwood, we lost the Deeplurker when attacking Cornealus but we weakened him crucially for the next round.
En el segundo round la segunda víctima es Ancient reddwood, perdimos al Deeplurker al atacar a Cornealus pero lo debilitamos de manera crucial para el siguiente round.
💥Round 3💥
In the next round Noa sacrifices himself by weakening Cornealus so that it is finally Kulumastermind who eliminates him definitively, this leaves our opponent with only Runemancer Florree, the unit with the most life in his lineup.
En el siguiente round Noa se sacrifica debilitando a Cornealus para que finalmente sea Kulumastermind quien lo elimine definitivamente, esto deja a nuestro oponente únicamente con Runemancer florree la unidad con más vida de su alineación.
💥Round 4 & 5💥
In the 4th round we managed to take 9 life points from the Runemancer with the combined attack of Kulu and Isgald but it was not enough to knock him down so in retaliation our opponent dispatched Kulu mastermind in the 5th round and it was finally Isgald vorst who delivered the blow. grace to seal a close victory.
En el 4to round logramos arrebatarle 9 puntos de vida al Runemancer con el ataque combinado de Kulu e Isgald pero no fue suficiente para derribarlo asi que en retaliación nuestro oponente despacha a Kulu mastermind en el 5to round y es finalmente Isgald vorst quien da el golpe de gracia para sellar una cerrada victoria.
🐲 Conclusions/Conclusiones 🐋
- Without a doubt, the new Fab Four ruleset is a real challenge that tests our abilities as summoners since it forces us to propose an alignment that is effective using only 4 monsters, this makes the strategies simple and direct in many cases. although this also depends on the mana limit.
- Sin lugar a dudas que la nueva ruleset Fab Four es un verdadero desafío que pone a prueba nuestras capacidades como invocadores ya que nos obliga a plantear una alineación que sea efectiva utilizando únicamente 4 monstruos, esto hace que en muchos casos las estrategias sean simples y directas aunque esto depende también del límite de mana.
I hope you liked the post, this ruleset along with Shades of Gray seems to me to be the most challenging of the new rules that have come out so far in splinterlands, in this case my favorite option is to opt for a fast and high-powered attack on the row secondary. Espero que les haya gustado el post esta ruleset junto con Shades of Gray me parecen las más desafiantes de las nuevas reglas que han salido hasta ahora en splinterlands, en este caso mi opción favorita es optar por un ataque rápido y de gran potencia a la fila secundaria.
