Today I'm showing you two letterings in an alley in Montreal's Mile-End district, with a DJ in action. Just perfect, given that this work is on the wall of a record store. StreetArt is in full swing in Montreal as the Mural Festival has just started, unfortunately in the rain. But I'm hoping to get out there tomorrow, early at first to see if any murals are already underway. Then later in the day, to enjoy the atmosphere and see the artists at work. As Boulevard Saint Laurent is closed to traffic, I'll want to take advantage.

Aujourd'hui je vous propose deux lettrages dans une ruelle de Mile-End à Montréal avec un dj en pleine action. Juste parfait vu que cette œuvre se trouve sur le mur d'un disquaire. Le StreetArt est en pleine effervescence à Montréal vu que le Mural Festival vient juste de commencer, malheureusement sous la pluie. Mais j'espère y aller faire un tour demain, tôt dans un premier temps pour voir si des murales sont déjà en cours de réalisation. Puis plus tard dans la journée, pour profiter de l'ambiance et voir les artistes en train de peindre. Comme le boulevard Saint Laurent est fermé à la circulation, il faut profiter.

On Bernard Street in Montreal on the wall La Rama Records which sells vinyl. And looking up the date of the lettering on Google Maps, I think an artist is painting 😀.

Sur la rue Bernard à Montréal sur le mur La Rama Records qui vend des vinyles. Et en cherchant la date de réalisation des lettrages sur Google Maps, je pense qu'un artiste est en train de peindre 😀.

Killa & Maos

The first lettering is by an unknown artist. I can make out the letters, I think, MAPS. But no information about this artist... In the middle of the two letterings, we have this DJ in the middle of a mix session. So cool...

Le premier lettrage est d'un artiste inconnu. J'arrive à déchiffrer les lettres, enfin je pense, MAPS. Mais aucune information... Au milieu des deux lettrages, on a ce DJ en pleine séance de mix.

The second lettering, in exactly the same color palette, is done by Killa EF. This writer is quite active in Montreal, often accompanied by Pito see CCC's Street Art Contest #196, StreetArt #625 and StreetArt #617. He likes gothic-style letters 😀.

Le deuxième lettrage, exactement dans la même palette de couleurs est l'œuvre de Killa EF. Ce writer est assez actif à Montréal, souvent accompagné de Pito voir CCC's Street Art Contest #196, StreetArt #625 et StreetArt #617. Il aime les lettres style gothiques 😀.

I don't know if you've seen the sign above the Killa lettering. At first I didn't pay much attention, thinking it was just a sign indicating whether parking is possible or not. But in fact, it's the Black Lives Matter 24/7 365 Days A Year movement. The "hijacking" is really good..

Je ne sais pas si vous vu le panneau au dessus du lettrage de Killa. Au début je n'avais pas fait attention, pensant qu'il s'agissait d'un banal panneau indiquant si le stationnement est possible ou non. Mais en fait, il s'agit du mouvement Black Lives Matter 24/7 365 Days A Year. Le détournement est vraiment bon.
