Fasion industry includes the designing, manufacturing amd distribution of the all the apparels, it also incldes the advertisements, marketing and promotions. The fasion industry itself if 1.4 trillion industry globaly and more the 300 million people are part of this industry. If we talked about India its approximately 150 billions industry.
We all want to look good, and what we wear matters a lot in this case. The clothes we wear reflect many things about our personality and mood. The right choices of clothing impact positivly on us. In today's fashion world, styles change very rapidly. Generation Z is very sensitive about their looks and style. Fashion clothes are in high demand, which is why the fashion industry is expanding rapidly. Some people are very attracted to brands, but they are not everyone's cup of tea as they are much more expensive than other options available in the market. Yes, brands also have their quality standards and development teams, which is why their prices are always high. Some local brands are also equally good on quality and more economical. In many industries, it's necessary to have a good appearance, and clothes play an important role here as what we wear can make us more attractive in many situations.
The sense of dressing is very important for two big reasons. Firstly, first impressions last, and it helps in many occasions like business meetings, housekeeping, and the hotel industry, etc. Secondly, it gives us confidence. People do better work when they feel confident, as it helps in improving work efficiency.
Let me share an incident that happened during my first job. The job profile was a mix of technical and sales. One of my colleagues was visiting one of our customers for the first time. He was supposed to present the company profile along with technical training. This was his first visit to the company. When our manager called him and told him about the meeting, after the discussion, he asked one favor from our manager. What he asked for was a request if he could borrow his suit for one day for the meeting. The reason he gave was that he felt more confident when in suits.
In today's world, even small kids are very keen on apparel and looks. My kid, Gurseerat, is six years old, and on the first of April, she will enter her seventh year. She wants to wear the dress of her choice on her birthday. We asked her if she likes the dresses we already have, but she has something else in mind. She saw one of her friends wearing a long gown dress on her birthday, and now she also wants to be in a similar dress on her birthday. Most of the time when we go shopping at any supermarket or shopping mall, she chooses her clothes for herself.
As for myself, I mostly like to be in comfortable dress. I do not run after brands, but what's important for me is the fit and comfort. I mostly wear a t-shirt and pants but change the look as per requirement. For example, if I am at home, I love to be in a t-shirt and pajamas or pants. For the office, it's a shirt and casual pants, and if attending any marriage function, it's mostly suits. For foots I like to wear sports shoes as they are more comfortable.
India has a rich tradition of clothing styles, Each state of india has uts own tradional dressing for example in Punjab pople morly like the Kurta Payjama by males and salwar kamij my females, in the near state Haryana people moatly wear the dhothi kurta and chaniya choli. Each state has his unique tradions and traditional dress. Its amazing to see how it is divest across the country.
