) Like it is usually said “show me your friend and I will tell you who you are” is a statement that implies friendship means a whole lot in developing a person or bringing such person down. If you are in friendship with the right set of people, then it is easy to see growth in you otherwise, reverse is the case.
If you want to know how much friendship means to me, you are on the right spot on this blog as I will narrate my reason why I value it, Not just any type of friends but ones with value.
Firstly, the way we look at friends is; “Someone who is there for us in times of trouble” and for that definition, my number one friend is my creator. He saw me through when I passed through the gates of hell during my first pregnancy. Although I was young then.
But I my definition of a friend significantly changed a bit, I view a friend as someone who has value, not just value alone, someone who can show you how to fish rather than giving you fish. Well, In this era no one is ready to give you fish if he doesn’t have anything to benefit but there are some who are just kind regardless of benefits. These are who I call my friends.
Friendship mean to me a whole lot because they offer value and values are what takes you to the high tables on high seats.
I attended a conference where I met young people in their 20’s some were web developers, block chain enthusiast, software developers, digital marketers, writers and other tech inclined skill you can think of.
The next thing that came to my mindset is how I could be able to join them? Luckily enough they had a strategy that even if you couldn’t afford the cost of learning any of the skill there must be an option which is a free course and then you can build the knowledge you want through research. My boss will tell you “virtually everything you need is on the internet, make use of it”
Back to the narrative, these set of people told us the need for making a research in order to increase in value in a competitive world. The most intelligent person is no different from anyone. It just that he or she spent time to research on ideas. Friendship to me is about connecting with people who have value and ideas, then learn from them, partner with them base on your choice skill, collaborate and share values together. When they see your usefulness, you become friends.
Through value I find friendship. Value could be solution to a problem. Then my next move will be on getting closer to the person to learn and also be like the person. Not that I would go to meet the person and ask for a friendship, No. it may seem scary and you know in life, trust is very expensive. But if the person offers a value and you as well is willing to learn and increase the value, it results into partnership which to me further yields friendship.
As regards the inquiry, if I can make new friends easily, I will say a big YES but it is based on friends with value. It will result into creating a form of partnership in which will carve out the real friendship and lastly result a second family.
It’s essential to have two families with one been your biological parent as the head and the other been your mentor as the head. With that you will be able to thrive and realize the better side of you. All this is possible through friendship
