Happy Monday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. We are onto a new week and hopefully you are having a great day this far. Mine has been ok and as the day draws to a close, am raring to go with some of the day's trending news and my stepping activities. Thank you for stopping by yet again and let's get cracking 💨.
So I had two major walks, starting off early with fast paced morning session. I brisk walked around the neighbourhood. At least today the sun was out on a beautiful Monday morning with an amazing fresh breeze🍃. Then I was back indoors for the usual household chores. later in the afternoon, I stopped by the shopping center then was back home for some cooking followed by the usual nap. In between I did check out some trending news and watched some you tube. Finally I finished off the day with the slow paced evening walk in the cool evening breeze.
So what's been trending. Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going 😹. Polish president is on an official visit to Kenya. Met the Kenyan president.
On the continent, Senegal still trending as protesters gathered outside parliament buildings demanding a date be set for elections🙀. The internet was shut off to control protests.
Globally, Gaza still trending as another horrendous day unfolded😿.
Israeli airstrikes killed dozens of Palestinians overnight😭.
Injured people have been streaming into overwhelmed and under resourced hospitals🙀.
Also trending, US secretary of state Anthony Blinken is on his fifth visit to the middle east. He started in Saudi Arabia, then Egypt, Qatar, Israel and occupied west bank. The humanitarian issue in Gaza will be top priority as is the issue of the captives.
Not far off, Pakistan trending as armed men attacked a police station in the north west of the country killing ten security personnel😿.
In Europe, UK trending as king Charles was diagnosed with cancer. He was in hospital for 3 days for a prostrate treatment. They didn't disclose what form of cancer it is but said he had commenced regular treatments and won't be attending public functions🙀.
Wishing him a quick recovery💯
