For years I have been telling people what to do and nobody seems to listen!
At work it was how to plan where to start, what the customer wanted and how I would do it. Then an hour later I would be back to see how they were going and they have done something completely different.
In Australian Rules Football I would spend what felt like hours showing by example and explaining to young people how to guide and control the football onto there foot with there hand. Down low for maximum power, accuracy and distance but as soon as I turned to help some else they were straight back to there old ways throwing the ball up in the air then a big sky swing with there boot and the ball would go anywhere.
I have talked to many of people about Hive and money, helped them get set up and started. Promised that the power of compounding would see them right but they give up and just chase the next big high risk win.
I wont be entertaining a sales job anytime soon. Maybe I am too pushy and not supportive enough. I often wondered if I was explaining things right, not using the correct words or just very poor at persuasion.
But in the end I came to the conclusion that it was all them and not me. Everyone needs to be ready to learn. I have given them all the right information and they just need to try a few things for themselves and find out what works for them.
