Happy Monday🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. We are onto a new week and hopefully you are having a great day, can't believe it's mid April already😹. My day has been ok and as it draws to a close, am raring to go with some of the day's trending news and my stepping activities. Thank you for stopping by yet again and let's take it away💨.
So I had two major walks, starting off early with fast paced morning session. I brisk walked around the neighbourhood. At least today the sun was out on a beautiful Monday morning with an amazing fresh breeze🍃. Then I was back indoors for the usual household chores. later in the afternoon, I stopped by the shopping center then was back home for some cooking followed by the usual nap. In between I did check out some trending news and watched some you tube. Finally I finished off the day with the slow paced evening walk in the cool evening breeze. It's raining outside right now.
So what's been trending. Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going 😹. Then celebrations as Kenyans shone in the Boston marathon, Ethiopia giving us some competition but we will get them next time.
Globally, Gaza trending as Palestinian doctors find mass graves in the courtyard of Al shifa hospital. The bodies are of some of the patients as bandages and catheters were still attached to the bodies🙀.
Several mass graves have been found at Al shifa since Israeli troops withdrew on April 1.
Today, Israeli airstrikes in Maghazi camp destroyed several residential buildings🙀. Many Palestinians have began moving from the south headed north as Israel plans to invade Rafa.
In Israel, war cabinet minister, Benny Gantz said Israel would exact a price from Iran at its own timing😹.
That after Saturday night's attack of over 300 missiles and drones fired by Iran.
Iran says attack on Israel was an act of self defense following Israel's strike on Iran's embassy in Damascus Syria.
Many world leaders have urged Israel not to respond so as to avoid escalation of war in the region.
Across the pond in the US, former president Donald Trump was back in court for the hush money case. Jury selection began, really difficult hunt for 12 impartial jurors to sit and hear that case
Also trending, Tesla has laid off more than 10% of its workforce. Owner Elon musk said it was a difficult decision to reduce Tesla's global headcount.
Finally, scientists say, coral reefs around world are experiencing mass bleaching🙀. They further warned that many of the world's reefs may not recover from the intense, prolonged heat stress. Something has to be done about global warming💯.
