Greetings friends and photography lovers. On this occasion I want to share with you some shots of the exterior of the colonial fortification systems of the eastern sector of the entrance to Havana Bay, taken from the port of Casablanca. These fortress systems nestled in the coastal cliffs of the elevated block of the Bay are the Castillo de los Tres Reyes del Morro, where the lighthouse is located; and the fortress of San Carlos de La Cabaña. These structures date back to Spanish colonial times on the island and played an important role in the defense of the island against external attacks and incursions by the English, corsairs and pirates; and today they survive the passing of the centuries as architectural testimonies of Havana's history and as distinctive elements of the city today.

Saludos amigos y amantes de la fotografía. En esta ocasión quiero compartirles algunas capturas del exterior de los sistemas de fortificaciones coloniales del sector este de la entrada a la Bahía de La Habana, tomadas desde el puerto de Casablanca. Estos sistemas de fortalezas enclavados en los acantilados costeros del bloque elevado de La Bahía son el Castillo de los Tres Reyes del Morro, donde está ubicado el faro; y la fortaleza de San Carlos de La Cabaña. Son estructuras que datan del tiempo colonial español en la isla y que jugaron un papel importante en la defensa de la misma ante los ataques e incursiones externas por parte de los ingleses y los corsarios y piratas; y hoy permanecen sobrevivientes al paso de los siglos como obras arquitectónicas testimoniales de la historia de La Habana y como elementos distintivos de la ciudad en la actualidad.
