After family deliberation, it was finally decided that this year's family holiday on Eid al-Fitr would be to Minajaya beach, Sukabumi, West Java, Indonesia. Thursday night prepare because Friday morning we are ready to leave. We visited this beach about five years ago.
Friday morning at 02.30 we started leaving for our destination. We travel at night to avoid traffic jams. Traveling at night on winding roads requires extra caution. Because the road to the Sukabumi area is a road in the highlands with quite high ravines on either side.
At around 04.50 we had to stop at a mosque to perform morning prayers. I took some pictures after praying. The eastern dawn that is starting to appear adds to the beautiful view of the hills here.
After taking some photos, we continued our journey, which we estimated would still take around two hours to reach our destination. And around 08.00 we entered the Minajaya Beach area and bought an entrance ticket for $1 per person. We parked the car and headed to the hut to sit down before enjoying the beauty of the beach.
Minajaya Beach is a sandy beach with small waves so we didn't worry about being a bit far from the shoreline. Almost the entire edge of the beach is covered with pandan plants. Here are some photos I took while I was at the beach.
It was getting late and we had to find a place to stay. It turned out that the accommodation we booked was quite far from the beach. It takes about 25 minutes to get to the accommodation. Arriving at the accommodation it was a rainy day and we were only able to take a few photos at sunset.
It was getting late and my family and I had to leave the accommodation to look for dinner. And we enjoyed dinner at a street food area. Here it is quite busy with buyers. After dinner we returned to the inn to rest because tomorrow morning we had to go home.
