Exciting this year has been growing Ranunculus in our garden.
Small multi-layered flowers with beautiful colors have long attracted my attention, and this year I found bulbs and began to take care of their cultivation.
At the end of March I took the little tentacle-like bulbs and set them to soak in water for a few hours.
I then planted the bulbs, spines down, in pots of soil.
The depth at which I planted them was about 2-3 times the height of the bulb.
After about 2-3 weeks the plants started to grow and formed nice foliage.
When the weather outside was warm enough I planted the seedlings in open beds.
The plants had formed very strong roots.
When the plants started blooming it was so exciting.
Beautiful, perfectly shaped flowers in a variety of colors bloomed in our garden for about 6 weeks.
Even when they were already dry, they were still beautiful.
I let them dry completely and then stored the bulbs in a dry place until next spring when I will plant them again.
