Unless you're completely unfamiliar with Roman history and Shakespeare's historical plays, you probably know the Ides of March was the day the Roman senate assassinated Julius Caesar in an attempt to restore the old Roman republic.
A few months ago, there was a realization men think about Rome a lot. As with any story on the internet with such a broad generalization, it took off like crazy in certain circles and became a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy if it was not accurate before. Nonetheless, I recommend Mike Duncan's The History of Rome podcast and subsequent history book of the same title if that describes you at all.
Now, you may be tempted to celebrate the occasion by stabbing a politician. Before anyone does anything reckless, I just want to remind you it is illegal to send tyrants into the Long Dirt Nap Beyond. Don't be dumb. Or at least don't get caught. Assassins usually find themselves facing a short life expectancy.
