Too hot, I need rain!

I guess nobody here in the world that does not complain against the hot weather we are going through in the past few weeks. The hotness of the weather indeed is scorching, dehydrating, drying and dangerous. And this is just a piece of what nature had us experience of the damages we brought her over the years.

Now on Sunday morning I woke up with a slightly cold temperature and upon looking at the sky, there was gloomy clouds all over and at 7 am, there were drizzles and had me reminded of my mother and daughters to bring their umbrellas when going to church.

As for me I had different plans and I also had my umbrella ready just incase rain would happen. I also brought with myy shawl just in case it gets cold and face mask if it gets dusty.

Ready for the Rain

I had been praying for the rain to come since the first week of no rain. I have crops to worry about and I feel blessed our cassava crops were almost mature
but that doesn't mean it's safe from the heat. I haven't visited there for a while now but all those crops that I passed by on my travels had been damaged by the scorching heat of the sun and some had
almost died.

**I am so ready for the rain today! ** but my house isn't. My house is old, we built it a year after I had my firstborn and

since it was just made of the cheapest materials could find in the market, the quality is not that good and over the years, the roof had holes and leaks whenever it rains.

We tried covering them with sealants but some prevails and we are not yet ready to replace them yet. My mother's house is too and her kitchen rains whenever rain comes too.

Money seemed too hard to catch and like a smoke when I had it in my hand slips before I even know it. I did not have salary increase for some time now and I tried to save as much as I can: I obliged myself to keep the 25% every payday
and had been tight on budget for some time now.

So I readied basins to catch the leaks and readied myself for my appointment

Rain did not come

The clouds really looked like. It's gonna rain but as the day rolled by, I got busy and the next time I looked at the sky as I wondered why rain did not come, it had already cleared up and the sun was out again in the sky.

I really thought it was going to rain
today and read that some place in the country had rained today. It's just 4am and I'm not ready to go out and look at the sky yet at this moment . But I really want for the rain to come already.
