El día de hoy les traigo mi primer proyecto, más no el último para todos ustedes; se trata de unas batitas cortas para después del baño, de hecho es mi primera costura que elaboro yo sola en la máquina de coser, pero igual les contaré mi experiencia.

La idea de realizar estas batitas surgió desde que a mis hijas les encanta salir del baño envueltas en una toalla, cosa que me causa un poco de incomodidad a la hora de que haya una visita en casa; porque me parece de muy mal gusto andar paseando frente a la visita en toalla por la cercanía de la ubicación del baño con nuestra sala.

Paso 1
Comienzo colocando una bata que ya está bastante usadita como patrón sobre la tela, esto lo hice dobladando la tela en 4 de acuerdo al ancho de la prenda para que de una vez me salgan las 2 piezas de la bata; tanto la delantera como la trasera. No son batas muy largas porque compre 75cms de tela para cada una.

Paso 2
Una vez que ya tenemos cortada nuestra bata, procedemos a sacar el corte del cuello, tomando como medida 5dedos solo para la parte delantera, más 1cm adentro en la sisa de la misma pieza delantera.

Paso 3
Cómo no se mucho de costura, prefiero bastear o hilvanar toda la pieza para que no se me vaya a mover la tela a la hora de llevarla a la máquina.

Paso 4
Una vez listo este paso llevamos la pieza a la máquina para comenzar a cerrarla; cosiendo por dónde la bastee.

Paso 5
Por último le pasó una costura en zig zag a todas las uniones para reforzarlas y a la orilla de la batita para que quede ondeada y le de un acabado distinto.Finally, he zig zag stitched all the seams to reinforce them and the edge of the batting to give it a wavy look and a different finish.
Y así ha quedado mi pieza ya cosida; una linda batita para dormir.
Cabe destacar que aunque seguramente me quedó con ciertos detalles para quienes si saben de costura, yo la calificaría con un 8 de 10, qué dice el público?
