El Clásico Post Match Review

The El Clasico match that went down two days ago proved two things to me: La Liga is not a serious league, and Real Madrid is corrupt. FC Barcelona faced Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu in a match that could very much be a title decider match but lost 3-2 away from home due to two refereeing errors which are now becoming more constant for Barcelona this season and tomorrow if Barcelona win the Negreira case will pop out on the media again when the judge has said there is no evidence or documents that prove Barcelona paid the referees to give them a upper hand in every match.

It will sound based on my end because I am a Barca fan, but it's the reality of what is happening in Laliga. Lamine Yamal's goal was cancelled by the VAR in their own words. The ball did not cross the goal line completely because the Real Madrid goalkeeper stopped the ball from entering the goalpost. The camera angle that the VAR used to check the goal was not even shown and to make matters even worse I just found out that day that Laliga does not have a goal-line technology which I couldn't believe and I had to do my research and found out it was true.

Laliga has learned nothing from their previous mistakes, which is a shame from a league that is considered to be top in Europe. In 2017, Messi's goal was denied by the referee and linesman when the ball clearly passed over the goal line. The players protested to the linesman and the referee, but their protest came to nothing as the referee's decision stood, and that match cost Barcelona the title that season. The same thing happened in the 2016 season against Real Betis when the Betis defender cleared the ball from the goalpost post which crossed the goal line and although Barca won the league with one point separating them from Real Madrid it was close to costing them the league that season.

According to a Sky Sports news article in 2017. La Liga President Javier Tebas refused to introduce the goal-line technology due to concern about the cost which sounds pathetic to me because a top league like Laliga should not be behind when top leagues like EPL, Bundesliga, and Serie A all have goal-line technology in their league. It's a disgrace and completely unacceptable and what got me more upset was when Javier Tebas came and posted controversies of goal-line technology on his Twitter page, with one of them stating that the Ligue 1 has stopped using goal-line technology. A community note on Twitter had to come in and said Tebas was lying and that goal-line technology is still being used in Ligue 1 since 2018.

Tebas is a joke, and it is time for him to leave the seat as president of Laliga. Barcelona President Laporta has released a video statement and in the video, he said the referee and VAR will have to give him the image angle they used to predict that Lamine Yamal's goal was not valid and if it's proven at the end that it was indeed a goal they will be asked for the match to be replayed. It's a good move by the president, and I hope they take this case seriously to the end because the corruption has to stop.

So, guys, that will be all for now. Drop your thoughts in the comment sections. Thanks for stopping by, and have a good day.
