Everyone has one thing they are scared of. Some are scared of heights, and some are scared of cockroaches. But what I'm scared of is very funny.
On this day, I was so bored at home that I decided to go anywhere there's nature. I always see my friends going on boat cruises and so on. And honestly, I've never been there before. I mean, just imagine yourself on a boat, and then you are enjoying the breeze. I have seen a lot of people doing this. But I've not had the chance to do it.
On this day that I went to the beach, I loved how big it was, but then I got scared because the ocean was too big and someone might die inside it. I mean, seeing how big I am alone scares me a lot. I've tried as much as I could to get rid of this fear until one day.
This day, I stood up and was so bored at home. I love nature, so that was the first thing that came to mind. I searched for the nearest nature around me, and I realized that there's one we have around us. So I took a bike to the nearest place where there's nature. Of course, the place is filled with many things. There are people who sell markets, fish, and so on, and there are fishermen.
I just went to that place to see how green and beautiful it looked. On getting there, I see people who use canoes to transport goods from one place to another. They use it as a means of transportation, which is why they collect money for doing so. Since I had the intention of entering the boat that day, I thought that entering a canoe would not be a bad idea. At least if there's no boat, I can use a canoe. Well, there are two canoes there: one that uses an engine and one that they need to paddle. The difference between these two canoes is that one goes very fast and the other is slow. Of course, the engine goes very fast.
After looking at it for a long time, I decided to give it a try. I've never, for once in my life, entered a canoe before, and I was like, This is another good experience I need to have. I asked the man in charge if he could enter, and he said the one available does not have an engine; we need to paddle it. Well, since I will not be the one to paddle it, I said no problem.
It was so obvious that I'm so scared of that water, and the canoe is so small because it looks like it will sink at any moment, but then I want to be a man and try to enter the canoe. As I saw people enjoying the ride, I asked for the amount I'm going to pay, and the man said since I don't have a destination, I should just enter and enjoy my ride; no fee is attached. I was happy and entered the canoe. I entered the room, and it looks like it's going to sink. I mean, it's swinging me left and right. My soul left my body for a sec, and I felt like I'm going to die. I could not continue because I'm already shouting.
I can even barely touch the water. I asked the man to stop saying that I'm not going again. I left immediately and went straight to my house. Since then, I've not tried to enter the canoe again. I believe one day I will be able to get rid of the fear. till then.
