Resilience

    Hello, beautiful people! Welcome to my blog. It's a pleasure to have you in this space. Once again, welcome 🤗

    As humans, it's natural for us to look back at the last 12 months of our lives and reflect on our progress, setbacks, wins, and, most importantly, lessons that were learned from it.

    If I were to describe my 2024 in a word, I would say resilience.

    In 2024 I had my own fair share of facing different challenges, emotions, and opportunities. Just like most people, the year 2024 started for me on a positive note, and I was optimistic about it like most people were. I had a lot of goals planned out; I was so certain that 2024 was my year for greater opportunities. I was optimistic about achieving my goals, and along the way I faced different hurdles I needed to overcome if I was to get to my destination.

    As I reflect on the past year, I would say there are some key lessons I have learned to carry into my 2025;

    I have learned to embrace uncertainty; life itself is full of different ups and downs, and things most times wouldn't always go as planned. So the only way to leave above the tides is to choose to be flexible and also be open to different changes. Whatever situation presents itself to you, be it a setback or an opportunity, just find a way to roll with it.

    I also learned the hard way how important it is for me to prioritize myself and take good care of my health. I noticed it's very easy for us to get busy while trying to meet up with deadlines and pursue a goal or career that we tend to forget that our bodies also need as much attention as these other things.

    I have always known how important it is to nurture and value relationships. However, in 2024 I saw that in a different light; it is easy to get familiar with some people that you miss the opportunity of getting what you are supposed to get from them. I have learned to differentiate friends from mentors. I have learned how important and valuable it is to invest in some relationships.

    Above all, never give up. Facing challenges in life is normal; I think that's what makes life more fun because I personally feel if one keeps winning without losing, the person would get bored, but most importantly, the person wouldn't be challenged. Failure on its own is a motivator if you don't give up. It challenges you to think outside the box and helps in achieving your goals.

    In this year, 2025, I am fully excited to apply everything I learned from 2024 in 2025. For me this new year is to continue from where I stopped with my growth processes. Even though I know challenges and setbacks most of the time cannot be overlooked, I am fully prepared for whatever it throws at me. For my growth, I am willing to climb every mountain.

    Do have a prosperous new year. Happy new year.
