Noodles are one of the most popular foods for Thai people. Noodles are a food that has been influenced by the Chinese who immigrated from China during the Ayutthaya period. Noodles have been adapted to suit the tastes that Thai people. Now there are many noodle shops in Thailand and they have started to modify the noodle recipe or make it more delicious. Today before picking up my son from school, I stopped by to eat noodles in the old city area.
Around 2:00 PM, I drove to a noodle shop called "Phikunthong", which I knew about from a review on TikTok. When I drove to the noodle shop, I saw that the front of the shop was closed, so I felt sorry. But when I read the sign in front of the shop that said it was open to enter from the side of the shop, I drove to the side of the shop. When I parked the car, I saw the noodle shop. The reason the front of the noodle shop was closed was because the noodle shop was expanding the area to make the shop bigger. So, I opened a noodle shop in the back first while waiting for the shop that was under construction to be finished.
I chose to sit at the corner of the shop where there was clear glass, where I could see outside clearly. The staff brought a menu with a variety of noodles to choose from. I ordered a bowl of beef noodles and ice cream that the staff recommended as the shop's very delicious ice cream.
Soon, the waiter brought a large bowl of noodles, topped with thinly sliced beef, and bottom filled with white rice vermicelli. On the other hand, the waiter held a kettle of hot soup, ready to boil the sliced beef in the bowl of noodles.
The server asked me how I wanted my meat done. I said medium rare. The server then slowly and skillfully poured the hot soup over the sliced meat. The sliced meat started to change color from the heat of the soup. Once the desired doneness was achieved, the server immediately stopped pouring the soup.
I immediately started eating the beef noodles the taste was very delicious. The beef was very sweet and juicy I ate the noodles while watching the movement outside.
After finishing the bowl of noodles, I immediately ate some ice cream to cool down the heat and spiciness of the noodles, which helped a lot. The ice cream had the perfect amount of sweetness and aroma today was another delicious meal.
