I am a boy that grew up without my father till I turned thirteen,I only lived with my Mom. I never knew I had a father till I was five. I thought I was a half orphan. My father was a soldier and was always at the battlefield or barracks.
He only visited us sometimes. I used to ask my Mom if I had a father and she would tell me,"My sweet boy,yes,your father is a soldier,he is a strong man,he is fighting for your country and he will come back very soon to see you." After listening to this long story,I used to conclude in my heart that my Dad is dead or my parents are divorced.

But my thoughts were never true. One day my Dad returned, when he came back he expected me to welcome him but I walked past him as if I never saw him before. He felt bad a little but he knew I was a child and I must be passing through a lot. He knew it was not easy for a child nor to always hear or see his father.
So he later called me and explained everything to me. He told me that he is my biological father,but it was never his fault for not giving me the time and love I deserved. His speech touched me and I flushed out all forms of hatred I had for him. When he found out that he had won my heart he asked me," Do you want me to tell you about our last fight with the terrorists?" I said,"Yes!!!!"
He told me the story of how he saved his friend's life. He told me that while they were exchanging fire on the battlefield,they also tried to rescue their fellow soldiers who were shot but still breathing. He said the terrorists dressed like them but the only difference is in the boot they wore. When one of his friends, Rollaz, was dragging a soldier to their side,he didn't know that was a terrorist. When my father saw that the terrorist opened a grenade to kill Rollaz, my dad shouted," Rollaz Run!!!! Don't protect him,he is a terrorist,he has an open grenade" and immediately, Rollaz left the man and ran with great speed. Though he was injured in the leg but survived.
Rollaz appreciated my dad after the fight and said he will never forget the first phrase he heard that saved his life,"don't protect him".
