UNSCHOOLING KIDS ARE DIFFERENT

"You've a very unique kid. He differes from other kids. He way of thinking is much deeper than kids of his age have. He is talented for sure. You're right to give him freedom with unschooling".

I heard such words yeasterday from a very famous artist, whose lesson my son attended.

Alexey Degtyaruk got higher art education. Exhibited as part of about 10 group exhibitions, held 5 personal exhibitions in Moscow, Kharkov, Kaliningrad, Kerch. His works are in Russian and foreign museums and private collections.

Works are located: gallery “Mars”, Moscow
Dodge Cultural Center Museum, New York, USA
    Museum-gallery "AVEK", Kharkov, Ukraine,
    Municipal Gallery, Bibigon, Italy
    Municipal Gallery Kaliningrad
    Municipal Gallery Barnaul
    Municipal Gallery, Balashikha
In private collections: Russia, Israel, Ukraine, Italy

Contemporary artist Alexey Alekseevich Degtyaruk (1967) calls his creative direction associative postmodernism. He begins the process of creating a work from some abstract nature - some event, an image noticed in real life, or a literary work he has read. The author analyzes this nature, passes it through his artistic vision, choosing the best way to convey his idea - in paintings or graphics.
This can be painting that combines abstract and figurative techniques, or large graphic sheets in mixed media, on which the artist seeks to express what lies in the deep layers of his subconscious.

Some weeks ago the artist had his personal exhibiton in Moscow!

That's what I've found in the web about him.
    I was impressed...

We came there just to try and see whether Vlad would like painting lessons or not, but I didn't expect that it would be lessons of such a famous artist!
And I didn't expect his great attention to my boy!
We brought some Vlad's paintings (it was necessary for this lesson). At first I didn't get why, but then I udnerstood - he looked at kids paintings and see their abilities, if he didn't like them, he didn't invite kids for other lessons.

Vlad was in the center of his attention at once. I know my boy is smart and talented, but I didn't see anything special in his paintings (maybe because I amn't an artist and I don't have professional "eye").
The artist praised Vlad and his creativity. Yeah, he can't draw well yet, but the artist looked deeper - not at his skills, but at his thoughts.

And the most amazing fact was that it was a lesson of book graphics, he teaches kids to paint comics. Comics!! That's my son's main passion, and he paints them at home all the time!

The artist said many warm words to Vlad, and he was so inspired! And me as well;)

He was surprised he doesn't go to school, but at once said that it was a right choice, because the kid is really special and too smart for his age.

I was very glad to hear these words because as a rule I meet negative feedbacks from people about our lifestyle.
I don't pay attention to them, but support words are really like diamonds for me.

In Kerch I have never met them before...
HiveFam gives me much support, but in real life I don't have it.

So, to be short, we were both happy after this lesson, and I hope to continue communication with this wise man, and I wanna get his advice about further painting lessons for Vlad.
Maybe it's really HIS way in this life.
    We should try.

I was impressed my this ac
