Inflation | The Government can’t save you

While I was at the shop, my cousin came over with a few of his friends. Before they reach the shop, I could hear them arguing discussing about how things are becoming costly consistently nowadays.

By the time they got to the shop,I welcomed them with a chair to sit. Even then, they didn’t stop their loud argument, but went on to hammer more on it. So I can’t help but to listen. Tbh, listening to people whining about the rising inflation is perplexing to me, because if we are all paying attention from the start, we should all know that things didn’t just skyrocket all at once.

One thing lead to another, then onto another, and that lead to something else that eventually made it even worse than it was before.

We are now all sailing the stormy waters of inflation.

While I was forcibly trying to listen without adding anything to their conversation, I could recall one of his(my counsin) friends said we are too much in terms of population and that dividing the country into the three main tribes would’ve been much better and easier to manage by the leaders. Because now it’s clear the country is tough to handle in almost every area ranging from finance to security.

Actually this caught my attention for the fact that it’s different from the common notion that - the government are always to blame. Yes we all know they should be looking out for their citizens all the time, but then as humans, we should be able to take good care of ourselves in all areas before waiting on anyone to add their own type of care.

    The herd mentality

It’s no news that many people have this herd mentality that they should be looked out for all the time. Like a herd looking up to their shepherd.

I once heard about operation feed the nation where the governments were giving free money foods and other things. I don’t know exactly how it was analyzed in details, but I think my dad had mentioned something like that to me, which I think is the reason why many old folks around here find it easy to blame the governments whenever things to haywire.

Take Covid for example, many people got free money in some countries and are happy about it while still wishing for more because it’s free.

This mentality has been passed on to the present generation who are currently living from hand to mouth, without fear of future financial dilemma like the one everyone is going through right now.

Inflation is going to fuck many up.

    And it’s going to hurt

However, this is going to be like a reality check and a knock on the head for many who had choose laziness and too much reliance on the government as their life motto in hope that they rethink their stance.

My cousins opinion didn’t even caught my attention due to how he thinks it’s all the present governments fault.

To me it’s all our fault, we are faulted for not seeing that the government itself is nothing but a big bully in fancy suit.

Their agenda has always been to take from the poor to feed the rich.

Then share crumbles back to the poor so they don’t revolt.

But I bet many still feel the government can save them, because it’s their(government)job. That’s what I recall from my cousins point. Because he feels good talking trash to the government when he himself still see bitcoin as a coin used by terrorist.

It doesn’t matter what happens, even if millions of people die due to poverty and hunger, the governments can’t save anyone but themselves. So it’s left for us to look for alternatives available to you without budging or whining. Entitlement won’t get you nowhere. I bet that sounds harsh, I would’ve loved to add that to their conversation but that will ruin their whole mood cause they enjoyed arguing blindly without looking at the whole picture.

    Catch you next time
