TGIF 🍻🍹 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊.The weekend is upon us yet again. I have had a great day and am raring to go with my stepping activities as well as share some of the trending stories I came across. As always thank you for stopping by and let's get things going 💨.
So as always my day began with a little bit of stretching then a few rounds of brisk walking around the neighbourhood. That fresh morning breeze🍃 was so wonderful. A nice short walk then I was back indoors where I rested then got on with the little daily chores around the house. In between I caught up with the latest news and watched some crypto and youtube. My next walking came later in the afternoon getting some fruits and veggies then around the park. Then I was back indoors for the usual nap. I woke up feeling refreshed some time early evening. watched the news then it was time for the sunset walk. As always slow paced around the neighbourhood and park. Then all of a sudden it started raining cutting short my walk by so much. I had just walked ten minutes. Damn it😹. I will catch up tomorrow.
So that was the stepping and now let's quickly look at what trended in the media.
Locally, nothing much happening except the usual political shenanigans 😹, otherwise a quiet day.
Globally, another horrendous day unfolded in Gaza. The latest Israeli strike occured in the early hours of Friday in Gaza city's densely populated Daraj neighborhood, killing at least 25 members of a family😿.
Elsewhere in Al Nusierat refugee camp, 3 journalists injured with one having to get his foot amputated🙀. Even though they were wearing highly visible press suits.
Not far off, Hezbollah launched over 50 rockets into north Israel as tensions continue to mount in the area.
Israel on high alert after looming threat of an attack from Iran. This after Israel bombed Iran's embassy in Damascus, Syria a few days ago killing top commanders.
Several countries have issued travel warnings over israel-iran tensions🙀.
However, US president Biden has said US is devoted to defending Israel and Iran will not succeed.
Let's go to Europe, Poland trending as lawmakers took steps towards liberalizing abortion laws.
Also trending, UK laser weapons could be sent to Ukraine war zone. The defense secretary said the laser could be used to take down Russian drones as early as 2027.
Remember Putin is just started a new term so we are in this for the long haul🙀.
Trending in Italy, famous designer Roberto Cavalli is dead at 83. He was well known for his animal prints on leather and textiles. Condolences and mayhis soul rest in peace💯.
In crazy weather, that flooding in southern Russia is getting worse as snow and ice melts. It is said to be the worst seen in one hundred years 🙀. Evacuations have occured but am sure everything will be fine. All's well that ends well💯.
