I managed to walk ten thousand steps barely, it waa a hot day and by eleven I actually felt tired.
But I did go to the place where an alligator is supposed to live. While on the sidewalk I heard something coming down a tree, first thought was snake, then I thought maybe alligator. But no it was a variety of iguana we have here.
It was right on the waterside some eight feet from me, so I figured a picture was called for. But just as I was getting ready it took a dive into the water. I stood there for some five minutes waiting for it to come out, never did. I wonder if they can swim or maybe hold their breath under water?
